In fairy tales, Goldilocks may have been the one eating all the porridge, but this restaurant is ⚠️for hungry bears only!⚠️
2023 marks the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, and Disneyland is celebrating in a BIG way with new nighttime shows, all kinds of collectibles, and (of course) LOTS of food! You can take a FULL look at all of the 100th Anniversary treats in Disneyland here, but right now we’re testing out the new eats at Hungry Bear Restaurant. Will this meal end up being just right? Keep reading to find out!
In Critter Country there’s a spot where all the creatures prefer to dine, and that’s Hungry Bear Restaurant! This restaurant is home to standard American fares like chicken sandwiches and burgers. The new 100th Anniversary items definitely fit the theme; on the menu, you can now find a Potato & Cheddar Cheeseburger and Lemon Chiffon Pie. Let’s start with the burger.
The new Potato & Cheddar Cheeseburger boasts a 1/3 lb angus chuck patty with green chile and bacon cheddar sauce with spicy crispy potato planks on a brioche bun and can be purchased for $15.49.
The burger patty was juicy and flavorful, but the stars of this burger were the potato planks. They were like crispy, spicy hash browns on top of our burger and the cheese was nice and melty on top.
The bun held up nicely to this flavorful burger and had a great crunch from being slightly toasted.
We didn’t have any complaints with this burger, but it was actually pretty spicy, so keep that in mind if you’re not a fan of spicy food! Overall it was really good — even Mickey is eyeballing our food.
The potato and cheddar burger (yes, it’s got potato planks in it!) and a Mickey #Disney100 sipper to go with it? Yes, please! pic.twitter.com/nGp4wdNHvK

Let’s move on to the sweets!
For dessert, Disney promised a classic lemon chiffon pie with graham cracker crust topped with vanilla chantilly cream for $7.99. Let’s see how they measured up!
We thought this was also pretty good! The pie was served chilled and was sweet but well balanced with the tartness of the lemon. As a chiffon pie, we would have liked this to be a touch on the lighter side — but it hit the spot nonetheless. The chantilly cream on top was nice and light in texture and had a rich vanilla taste that we really enjoyed.
Overall this pie was a really nice, light way to end our meal. Fans of lemon will probably really enjoy this, but if you don’t love citrus in your desserts, you should probably skip this one.
