One of our favorite money-saving Disney tips is about to get a price increase!
We know that the cost of a Disney vacation can add up fast. That’s why we’re constantly on the lookout for ways to save money on big expenses like hotels, food, and merch. But one of our favorite ways to save money — and luggage space — is about to get a price hike.
Did you know that you can get groceries delivered to your Disney hotel??
That’s right, guests can place delivery orders through services like Amazon Fresh, Walmart, InstaCart, and more to have all of their grocery essentials delivered right to their hotel! In fact, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort even added delivery lockers last year to make the process that much more simple.
Getting groceries delivered is one of our favorite ways to save money on items that are super marked up in Disney — like water, snacks, and over-the-counter medications — AND save space in our suitcases! But if your delivery service of choice is Amazon Fresh, beware — the minimum order amount for free delivery is about to get a HUGE bump.
Currently, Amazon Prime members are eligible for free grocery deliveries on orders above $35, with the exception of New York, where it’s $50. But beginning on February 28th, the minimum order amount for free grocery delivery will be increased to $150.
Once the change takes place, customers who place Amazon Fresh orders of less than $150 will be charged between $3.95 and $9.95, depending on the order amount. The delivery fee tiers will be $3.95 for orders between $100-$150, $6.95 for orders of $50 to $100, and $9.95 for orders under $50.
If grocery delivery is also one of your favorite Disney money-saving hacks and Amazon Fresh is your service of choice, make sure you’ve got all of your essentials included in your orders once this change takes place so you don’t need to place several smaller orders that rack up delivery fees! You can also check out other grocery delivery services to see whether the delivery fee for your order amount is less with another provider.
We’ll continue to be on the lookout for more news that could impact your Disney planning and budget, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!

Any news on the lockers being added to other resorts? I think this is a great idea! Boo Ya to Disney.
Please do not forget that some people like myself order to the resorts due to food allergies and special diets not all of which can be continually handled by Disney’s offerings. Some can but no all especially at regular dining experiences. I can only have so much chicken and Salmon both of which are excellent. Especially, if you are GF, DF no Corn, or safflower, palm oils and lecithin and no nightshades. You know all the good stuff! LOL.
Anyway thanks for letting us know.

We ordered groceries from Publix. They arrived quickly and we saved a bundle on Diet Coke. We were staying at Old Key West so mostly got coffee and breakfast stuff. I highlighted recommend.
