Disney World is changing all the time — no two days are alike!
Whether you’re at the parks, resorts, or Disney Springs, chances are there’s some sort of construction project going on. With so many updates on the horizon, it can be hard to keep up — but that’s where we come in. Let’s take a look at the latest Disney World changes you need to see before your next trip!
Magic Kingdom
TRON: Lightcycle / Run
A BIG update landed over at TRON this week — the ride’s marquee sign was installed! We caught some crew members working on this spot while we were on the PeopleMover the other day. You’ll find “TRON” in large blue letters, with “Lightcycle / Run” in white letters below.
We can’t wait to see what this looks like all lit up at night with the rest of the canopy!

EPCOT
CommuniCore Hall & Plaza
Over in EPCOT, we checked in on the progress at CommuniCore Hall and Plaza — and from what we can see, things are moving right along! There appears to be a smaller, one-story structure next to the other BIG building.
This area will be the new hub for all things EPCOT festivals, live music, events, and more! Disney shared this spot will be open sometime in late 2023, so keep you eyes on DFB for updates!
Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana
We’re starting to see more and more details over at the Moana attraction in EPCOT! More landscaping and palm trees have moved in, and the pathways are looking more defined.
It also looks like more canopies have been installed, which will hopefully provide some shade from the hot Florida sun!

Roundup Rodeo BBQ
While we don’t have any major construction updates for Roundup Rodeo BBQ, we did get a pretty HUGE update this week!
The FULL MENU was released — and our mouths are already watering. You can check out the full menu here, and we’ve also got a list of the items we’re most looking forward to here!
And, we have an official opening date — March 23, 2023! That’s 3/23/23! You can be sure we’ll bring you our full review, so stay tuned for the restaurants opening day.

Disney Springs
Summer House on the Lake
Crews are still working on putting together the structure for the future home of Summer House on the Lake in Disney Springs. We’ll be able to dine at this new table-service spot sometime in 2023!
Summer House currently has locations in Chicago and North Bethesda, Maryland. Though a menu has not yet been revealed for the new Disney Springs restaurant, pizzas, sandwiches, salads, pasta, wood-grilled dishes, and more are featured at the existing locations.

Disney Resort Hotels
BoardWalk Inn
The BoardWalk Inn is going through some serious updates, and this week we spotted changes to the lobby starting!
We can’t see much other than temporary walls and curtains at this point, but we’ll continue to watch for more updates and let you know what we see!

Polynesian Village Resort
There’s a new DVC tower coming to the Polynesian, and we’ve finally started to see some movement on the ground at the construction site! Blue and green pipes have been moved in, and it looks like digging will begin soon for some underground work.
We’re also seeing that more large equipment and cement trucks have moved in, and some structural elements appear to be on the ground as well.
We don’t expect construction on the Polynesian to be complete until 2024, so stay tuned for updates.

Grand Floridian Resort
And finally, the Grand Floridian is getting a bit of a facelift too! You’ll find quite a bit of scaffolding around the property.
