We’ve wrapped up the first month of the year, and now we’re heading into February!
February at Disney World often falls into what people call the “slow season” — but there’s still a lot going on! If you’re heading to the parks in the coming weeks, there are a few things that you might want to check out.
Enjoy the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts
Let’s start out this list with the obvious one — the Festival of the Arts at EPCOT! This festival kicked off in January and runs until February 20th. We’ve already been by to check out all the food, merchandise, and entertainment, but there’s plenty to enjoy for the next few weeks.
Throughout the day you can shop artwork, watch chalk artists create masterpieces, attend a drawing class, and much more. Then at night, you don’t want to miss the Disney on Broadway concert series!

Participate in the runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend
Taking place from February 23rd-26th, 2023 is the runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World. You have to register for these races in advance and they book up quickly, but throughout the weekend, runners get the chance to jog through the Disney parks early in the morning.
If you’re just visiting that weekend and not participating in the races, you may want to note that the parks could be more crowded than usual. These races are very popular and the participants and their families will likely be filling the parks in the days before and after.

Visit a Reopened Magic Kingdom Attraction
We have exciting news — Enchanted Tales with Belle is FINALLY reopening in Magic Kingdom! The attraction has been closed for nearly three years, but it reopens on February 19th, 2023.
For a while now, Belle has been available for a meet and greet at this spot, but when the attraction reopens, it’ll be back to it’s former glory. It’s like a walk-through show/experience with multiple parts, where you get to step into Maurice’s cottage and the library in the Beast’s castle, then tell the story of how Belle and Beast met. It’s interactive and a great chance to see one of the most popular princesses at the end!

Ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
But when one ride reopens, another closes. On February 20th, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is closing for an extended refurbishment in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The ride had quite a bit of downtime in 2022, and now hopefully it’ll get the TLC it needs. The closure is set to last until summer, which means it’ll be unavailable for a few months at least.

Dine With Princesses
And finally, we have one more exciting announcement — character dining is returning to Cinderella’s Royal Table in February! This restaurant has offered a modified experience with only Cinderella since the parks reopened, but now you can once again meet a variety of princesses during your meal.
You’ll have to wait until the very end of the month, because it doesn’t return to normal until February 28th, but we’re excited nonetheless. If you don’t have your reservations already, make sure to snag them!
