If your first thought is “Gideon’s Bakehouse,” when we say cookies, we’ve got some news for you!
As you may know, we visit Gideon’s Bakehouse on the first of each month to check out the cookies of the month! Last month, we dove into the Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cookie, and the month before that, we ate pretty much ALL of the holiday offerings. Well, now we’re back to try an old favorite to see if it still measures up.
This month has brought back the Eternal Flame Cookie, which is made with Gideon’s special house-made Ancho, Cayenne, and Cinnamon Spice Mix, infused with an essence of cherry and topped with Chocolate Covered Cherries. This has been a hit for us both last year AND the year before, so YES, we were ready to eat this baby again.
This has a rich chocolate flavor, similar to the Triple Chocolate Cookie (so if you love chocolate, you’ll love this one). The cherries give it a bit of extra chewiness that we don’t usually get with Gideon’s cookies. Each bite has just a little bit of heat, but it does sit on your tongue for a bit.
If you’re looking to get your hands on this cookie, you can grab it all month for $6.29. Note that the chocolate gets very melty (especially when it’s warm in Florida), so you’ll need napkins.
The Eternal Flame Cake has also made a comeback this month. It’s a 3-Layer Double Frosted Chocolate Cake with Red Cherry Buttercream and an outer layer of Chocolate Fudge Buttercream mixed with a little bit of that Eternal Flame spice. You’ll even find Cherry Roses on it. The cake has been a hit for us, in the past, too. The buttercream on this cake is SO DELISH.
Here’s a look at the full schedule of which cakes Gideon’s will have on each day in February.
So if you’re looking to add a little spice to your Disney World sweet treats, head on over to Gideon’s now! You’ll find their regular selection there, too, so if you’re worried about the heat of the Eternal Flame Cookie, you can grab the Triple Chocolate Cookie instead.

Gideon’s also has the Fire & Iced Coffee this month, with is a “smooth Mocha Nitro Cold Brew with a warm spicy finish.” It’s pretty spicy, so if you don’t mind some heat then you might love this drink.
