Disney World is — and almost always will be — under construction, but Walt Disney wanted that for his parks, so we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We’re getting ready to see a new ride open, we’re excited about a new restaurant coming soon, and we’re keeping an eye on the Disney Vacation Club Villas, as well as other construction, at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. So let’s see what things look like over there now.
During our last update, we noticed some cranes around the construction site, along with some other equipment. Well, the site is looking even BUSIER now. It looks like construction is about to ramp up! There’s even a concrete truck on site now.
A TON of new water and sewer pipes have also arrived on the site!
Also, part of a foundation seems to have been laid! Is this for a walkway? Or part of the building? Or something else? I guess we’ll find out eventually!
Here’s another look at that.
In other news, our last update mentioned that the slide over at the Lava Pool was closed for refurbishment. Well, that slide is now officially open again!
In the lobby, we got a look at the new rugs! It’s so colorful and really brightens up the already gorgeous lobby.

Those are water and sewer pipes, not beams.
