The Disney Dining Plan is still not back in Disney World, but something else has become available that might be Disney’s answer to the Dining Plan (for now).

In 2023, Disney is offering something called a Dining Promo Card. It’s something we’ve seen offered in the past for only select guests, but now it’s back in a new way. We’ve shared a TON of details about how the Dining Promo Card works, where to eat to make the most of it, and more. But now we’ve got an important update!

We already knew that there would be an end date for eligibility for the Dining Promo Card. Disney previously announced that the Dining Promo Card offer would be available for guests who have a qualifying visit between June 25th and September 14th, 2023. But they had NOT said whether there was a specific date by which you needed to book your qualifying trip to get the Dining Promo Card…until now.

In a message sent to travel agents, Disney noted that the Dining Promo Card offer is only bookable through March 27th, 2023. That’s just over a month away, so you’ll want to get booking FAST.

Confused about the dates? Okay, let’s clear that up again. The Dining Promo Card is available for those who book a qualifying visit between June 25th and September 14th, 2023. But you’ll have to BOOK that visit by March 27th, 2023 if you want to get the Promo Card.

Now, just what is a Dining Promo Card? Allow us to explain.

Dining Promo Card 101

The Dining Promo Card is essentially a gift card that you can use at select Disney World restaurants. The card is only included with certain hotel reservations, however (more on that in a second).

If you book a qualifying Disney hotel reservation by March 27th, 2023, you’ll receive the promo card in your email once you check into your reservation. The card’s value depends on your vacation arrival date, how long you’re staying at the hotel, and which hotel you choose.

Disney has generally promoted that the offer is good for up to a $750 Dining Promo Card. Here are the values based on travel dates and resorts:

• At value resorts — $35 per night if your arrival date is between June 25th and June 30th or July 11th and the 31st, and $50 per night if your arrival date is between July 1st and the 10th or August 1st and September 14th
• At moderate resorts — $75 per night if your arrival date falls between June 25th and June 30th or July 11th and the 31st, and $100 per night if your arrival date falls between July 1st and the 10th or August 1st and September 14th
• At deluxe resorts — $125 per night if your arrival date falls between June 25th and June 30th or July 11th and the 31st, and $150 per night if your arrival date falls between July 1st and the 10th or August 1st and September 14th

Keep in mind that this only works for certain qualifying trips. To qualify, you’ll have to book a minimum 4-night stay at a Disney World hotel with at least 4 days of park tickets. You get one gift card per ROOM, not per person.

Again, Disney has announced that the new Dining Promo Card offer will be available for guests who are visiting between June 25th and September 14th, 2023, but you’ll need to book that qualifying trip by March 27th, 2023.
