Plenty of guests are flocking to Disneyland for the Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary celebrations!
Despite having plenty to offer at the moment (special treats, Disney100 merch, a brand-new ride), there’s one day next week when you might NOT want to be in Disneyland.
We recommend thinking twice before heading into the park on Monday, February 13th, especially if you can’t handle crowds. You may have heard of a little event going on this weekend called the Super Bowl! The biggest football event in the United States is being played Sunday evening in Arizona, and could impact those on vacation in Disneyland.
The park gets really crowded following Super Bowl Sunday. Not only will you see tons of supporters of the winning team swarming the park, but the players will be hitting the parks as well! This will make the second year in a row that the Super Bowl winners will be headed to the West Coast for their celebration.
There will be a huge parade down Main Street, U.S.A. to celebrate. Because Disneyland is officially hosting whichever team comes out on top, certain areas of the park will be roped off so they can film interviews with the players. They may even end up closing off entire sections of the park as they prepare for the parade, leading to even MORE crowding. This means you could have to wait longer to ride your favorite attractions.
Crowds are often a fact of spending time in a Disney park. But for those who prefer to plan their trips for the off-season to avoid them, Monday is definitely a time to stay away. For more tips to help you on your future Disney vacations, stay tuned to our site!

Javier says
I really and intensely dislike crowds at Disney Parks. In fact for me the following equation is unequivocally true:
Large Crowds=Unhappy Visit.
Therefore I plan on visiting Disneyland on the dates of January 22nd-26th,2024. Along with seven members of my family. Hopefully this is the right time to go to avoid the crowds since “Revenge Travel” has dissipated by this time and the RunDisney Marathon and MLK Day will have already happened at that time. What do you folks think at DFB? Less Crowds or no, at the week I have chosen?
I know I cannot completely avoid crowds, but I do not want to be navigating Christmas and Summer sized crowds neither at Disneyland at the end of Jan.2024
