Are you sad that Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration ends in a month?
The celebration did last a full 18 months, after all. During that time, we had LOADS of special merchandise, as well as special snacks. Well, we’re now seeing some of those 50th anniversary snacks disappearing from Disney World menus, a sure sign that the big celebration is starting to wind down.
We keep an eye on Disney World menus and check for changes often. We’ve recently noticed that some of the 50th anniversary items are now missing from those menus. First, the Glimmer and Shimmer Pineapple Mousse has been removed from the menu at Trolley Car Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
We also noticed that the 50th Celebration Chocolate Gateaux is missing from the current menu over at Tiffins in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The Pineapple Upside-Down Cake at The BOATHOUSE in Disney Springs has also turned up missing.
If you’re heading over to Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, you will no longer be able to order the Celebrating Layers of Magic dessert there.
We also noticed that the Magic Kingdom Club Eclair is no longer on the menu at Cheshire Cafe in Magic Kingdom. However, you can now find it at Main Street Bakery — at least for now.
The Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie is now gone from the menus at Backlot Express and Fairfax Fare in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but it’s been replaced with a Toffee and Coconut Blondie, which has the same description minus the 50th decor.
The  50th Celebration Cookie at Rosie’s All-American Cafe in Hollywood Studios is now gone, but it was replaced with the Peanut Butter Cookie Sandwich and is getting a Fantasmic! chocolate piece added to it. It’s also the same snack, but with a new theme.
The Glimmer and Shimmer Earl Grey Cupcake will stay on the menu simply as the Earl Grey Cupcake over at the Trolley Car Cafe at Hollywood Studios.
The 50th Celebration Cupcake at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been replaced with the very similar Dessert Pineapple Cupcake.
Here are the other 50th snacks that have disappeared:
- EARidescent Sip-a-bration at various locations
- Magical Beacon Cocktail at various locations
- 50th Celebration Bananas Foster at Hollywood Brown Derby in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- 50th Anniversary Glimmer & Shimmer Funnel Cake from Epic Eats
- 50th Celebration Tart at Beach Club Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and The Market at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- 50th Celebration Mickey Breakfast Pastry Tart at Beach Club Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and The Market at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Chicken Dinner Cupcake Trio at P & J’s Southern Takeout
- 50th Celebration Midnight Lemon at Flying Fish at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
- Â 50th Anniversary Macaron at various locations
- 50th Anniversary Dessert at various locations
- Walt Disney’s Favorite Chili in a Bread Boule at various locations
We expect to see even more of these snacks disappearing from menus until the end of the celebration on March 31st. We’ll admit we’re a little sad because we’re hoping that some of our favorites end up on permanent menus (hint, hint, Disney!). So if you’re still wanting to try some of these treats, grab them while you still can!
