Ever since Disney World reopened in 2020, we’ve been waiting for some offerings in the parks to return to normal.
We’ve seen restaurants slowly reopen and character meals come back, but it has taken quite some time for one restaurant to return to its old operations. The full character meal is FINALLY back at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom, but you’ll be paying a bit more to experience it.
Prices for the character meal are finally up on Disney World’s website, and the changes are HEFTY. Previously, you could only see Cinderella at the restaurant, but with multiple princesses now visiting guests, walking around to tables, and signing autographs, Disney has hiked up the cost.
Here’s a look at the updated prices:
- Breakfast for adults was previously $45 per person and is now $65 per person
- Breakfast for children was previously $29 per person and is now $39 per person
- Dinner for adults was previously $67 per person but is now $79 per person
- Dinner for children was previously $39 per person but is now $47 per person
So if you’re visiting soon, you might want to budget a bit more! For a family of four (two adults and two kids) heading to breakfast, this amounts to $60 in additional cost. Keep in mind that this price doesn’t include tax and tip.
We’ll be visiting the meal soon and sharing our review of the updated experience, so make sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the details! We’ll keep you in the loop on any more changes.

Since it’s Cinderella’s castle, IMO only Cinderella should be appearing. The other princesses don’t make sense. They can appear elsewhere. As far as the price hike, I guess Disney has to recoup the funds from their failing streaming service somehow. And, of course, it won’t be taken from the outrageous bonuses the top guys get. Us little guys will have to cover it. It’s typical of Disney management these days.

Hi,thankyou for the information, we are visiting Disney in October, when would we have to book for Cinderellas castle dinner and how please..
Kind regards.

Cinderella’s Table for Royalty on the bright side these price increases could lead to making it easier to get a reservation.

Top 5 worst meal I have ever had in my life. Every meal on the table was terrible.
Monica Dornfeld says
Sadly, this character meal is not worth the expense. The restaurant is shabby and in much need of an update, the food is mediocre and based on my most recent visit the character experience was minimal. My advice, do the princess meal in Norway at Epcot.
Roger Hinton says
Disney has become a complete joke. It has reached a tipping point for most families who are starting new traditions and Disney will soon realize an unrecoverable decline.
Sarah says
If you booked and prepaid before the $ increase but princess will be there during your visit in a week, will they honor the price you originally paid or charge the difference?
Tammy says
The prices on all the character meals has gotten out of hand. We had an Ohana breakfast booked for our last trip but when we saw the price increase we cancelled. There is only so much the guests can pay.

Price Hike at Disney’s Most Popular Restaurant?!
Who would have guessed?! 🙄
Tricia Dobies says
FYI You could always see up to 5 Disney princesses walking the tables at cinderellas Royal table – this is not new. The price increase is just gouging not because of more princesses.
Rella says
It’s Horrifying. We go two times a year to disney and scarcely would want to spend that much for breakfast!
Thumper says
I guess nothing has changed! More price increases coming but no real change! Iger, “Your blowing it. No better than the “Other Bob”. Nope, I won’t be returning!
Thumper says
To add to my post, how does Disney justify such a hike???
Danielle says
Thank goodness I prepaid before the price hike! Last time I will be dining there!
DFB Gigi says
Hi Sarah! If you already pre-paid for your meal they should honor the original price you paid.

Hi Tony! You can book advance dining reservations 60 days out from your trip on the MyDisneyExperience app. We have an article on how to do all of that here: https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/05/18/how-to-book-select-disney-world-dining-reservations-before-the-60-day-window/

I agree that the price increases are incredible and I wouldn’t pay that much for the experience. But I hardly think that it will diminish the head count at the tables. Just like the increased crowds in the parks. there will be two who will pay for every one of us who won’t. There is an ever increasing length in the bridge between the haves and the have nots in the world today. The average family today could not afford the park admission, let alone the cost of additional experiences like character meals. But there are an ever increasing number of affluent families that will pay the increases without hesitation. This is the wallet Disney is clamoring for today and will continue to benefit from. As to you and I, pretty sad. Disney’s attitude for the average family, “let them eat cake.”
Mary says
Who can answer if you have prepaid will we have to pay the difference for our meal for the increase. When making the reservation we were charged the full price plus gratuity (30%) and taxes (10.5). I was shocked by that price so don’t welcome another $50.
Lyn says
Since character dining restarted, the prices have gone up about $10 a princess, so this hike should have been expected.

Looks like the menu has changed as well. I loved the chickpea panisse. The new 1 plant based option is not gluten free and with food allergies that means I don’t have a food choice. My kids are dying to go back but not sure how I can justify the cost if I can’t eat!
Roberta says
I understand that it costs a huge sum to keep the parks running. But what I think is we are paying for the new builds. Hope you like at least the idea of Star Wars land. It’s one of the reasons you can’t afford to go to Disney World.
Mary says
Since Princesses are back have they been actively interacting with guests to somewhat justify increases?
Mary says
My previous comment never made it up so why should I waste my time on this site. B

Hi Mary. We don’t actively moderate the comments 24/7 so it takes us a while to get to every comment that is left on the blog. I went back through the log and the only other comment from you we have that wasn’t approved was left one minute before this comment. Sometimes it can be as long as 48 hours before our team can get through all the comments that are left because we receive a lot of them and they all have to be moderated. We thank you for your patience.
