If you’re a Star Wars fan or someone who has a Disney+ subscription, then you probably know why today is so important!
That’s right, it’s the premiere of The Mandalorian Season 3 on Disney+ and people are GIDDY with excitement. The show has been incredibly popular throughout its first two seasons, inspiring countless merchandise collections since 2019. But now, there’s an ultimate fan experience in Disney World!
In honor of the premiere, Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) and Grogu (Baby Yoda) are appearing for the first time in Disney World today! This character interaction has already been seen in Disneyland, but this is the first time it’s available on the east coast.
You’ll find them roaming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios. Mando is wearing his traditional armor and carrying Grogu in an adorable side bag. At this time, it’s unclear whether this is a one-day-only offering or if it will continue to happen, but we have our fingers crossed for a recurring meet and greet!
UPDATE: Mando and Baby Yoda were wandering around Galaxy’s Edge a day later, on March 2nd, so it seems like they’ll be sticking around for a bit! Disney still hasn’t announced how long they’ll be here. (The crowds were also much lighter around the characters on the second day — we didn’t see the swarms of people like we saw on the day of their arrival!)

I’m sad I missed this by a couple of weeks but thrilled I have a chance to see them when I go back (fingers crossed). They are by far my favorite star wars characters!

That is SO WONDERFUL! Delights me to see this! And look how the child is moving in his pouch, really awesome.
But, may I kindly correct the term ‘baby Yoda’…he is not Yoda, as a baby, but rather “The Child”…as we don’t know his origin precisely, and with the time line he can’t be a young Yoda, with Luke as his trainer.

Yay! I have to say that meeting Din Djarin and Grogu was a highlight of my December trip to Disneyland. 🙂

I’m not usually one for character meet and greets, but this one is cool.
