It seems every day we get a new update as we approach the opening day of TRON Lightcycle / Run!
Now that we are only a few weeks out from the official premiere date of April 4th, more changes are coming faster than a lightcycle. Not only did we learn more about the new snack kiosk right outside of the ride, but a familiar sight we’re used to seeing every day is getting a bit of an update too!
Many of us rely on our My Disney Experience App for … well, almost everything during our trip! From accessing Genie+ to checking wait times there is a lot the app can do, and it also acts as your digital map to the parks. You can see each attraction on the map and now TRON has made its official My Disney Experience debut!
The coaster and its instantly recognizable sweeping canopy are included on the digital map of Magic Kingdom. They even included the massive, glowing sign right outside the entrance!
You can also see the new Energy Bytes kiosk right outside the entrance. This new food service spot will be offering some pretty interesting eats — you can check them out here!
This is a sign that we are just that much closer to TRON’s official opening! When TRON Lightcycle / Run opens you can only get on the ride through the Virtual Queue or by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane. With park passes for the opening date already sold out for many groups, we anticipate this new attraction to be EXTREMELY popular for some time. If you’re interested in riding TRON on your next trip to Disney, be sure to strategize to maximize your chance of snagging a spot on the Virtual Queue or grabbing an Individual Lightning Lane before they sell out!

This is the first ride at Disney that I have NO interest in riding. It doesn’t even last a minute and looks very uncomfortable. Maybe if there was a 15 minute wait,I could be enticed, but not worth jumping through hoops, paying major dollars for LL or someday standing in a two hour line. So I will leave my spot in line to those who really want to ride it. Enjoy!
