Splash Mountain has officially CLOSED in Magic Kingdom and is undergoing some serious construction as it becomes Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
We’ve shared a number of updates about the construction progress, the story of the ride, and other details, but now we’ve got even more information!
During a media event, Disney announced that later this summer, a tiara-topped water tower with the “Tiana’s Foods” logo will make its way to Magic Kingdom as construction continues on this ride transformation.
Disney shared that concept art (above) with a photo of Tiana and her group in front of the water tower, but also shared some concept art of what it’ll look like in the park during the day…
…and at night.
Those are only concept pieces, but it gives us an idea of just how this space will be changing in the upcoming months. We had actually seen this tiara-topped tower in the model of the attraction at the D23 Expo, so we’ll be interested to see what it looks like in its full size once installed in the park.
So, if you’ll be in Magic Kingdom this summer, be on the lookout for this major change. And stay tuned for more news.
