Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (a.k.a. the Star Wars Hotel) has been open for over a year but things have changed here over the past few months.
We’ve seen a major change made to the number of voyages offered, a HUGE discount announced for Cast Members, and more. But now we’ve got another Star Wars Hotel update!
For those who might not be familiar with it, the Star Wars Hotel offers a unique two-day, two-night itinerary where guests can participate in various activities meant to fully immerse them in the Star Wars universe. Think of it more like a cruise than a hotel. It’s part role-playing, part themed environment, part live theater, and so much more.
Going on the Starcruiser will cost you a pretty penny though. The estimated cost for 2 guests per cabin starts at $4,809 for the total voyage.
What if you want to go on an EXCLUSIVE adventure aboard the Starcruiser AND get a discount on your trip? Well, THIS is the announcement you’ve been looking for. The Disney Vacation Club has announced an exclusive member voyage aboard the Starcruiser from August 19th through August 21st. Not only is this a member-specific voyage, but members will also save 30% on the trip.
Registration starts on March 21st, 2023, so mark your calendars.
Members will be able to enjoy all of the Starcruiser fun along with a few extras. When the voyage ends, members will actually get special parting gifts so they can always remember their voyage.
To register, you’ll want to hit “Reserve Your Spot” starting March 21st, and have your Member number ready. You’ll then be placed into a virtual waiting room and once your turn arrives you’ll go to the registration form and make your reservation.
Here are some other things to keep in mind:
- To take advantage of this offer, DVC Members must be eligible for Membership Extras.
- The voyage can be booked with points or cash.
- Members will get a call requesting payment within 72 hours of completing their booking.
- Cancellation is valid up to 30 days prior to travel.
So if you are a Disney Vacation Club member, want to experience the Starcruiser, and want a discount on the voyage — consider booking this offer. Great, but when will discounts be available for regular guests? The ones who aren’t cast members/DVC members? :p
Ken says
The Star Wars hotel concept is beginning to leak. A 30% discount is huge, when the best you could do was maybe 10% if you were a DVC or Annual pass hold, and occasionally a 20% discount on selected items. But to get a 30% discount is unheard of and that tells me the Star Wars Hotel concept is weakening and slowly failing. Then to get a special exit gift on top of the discount is over the top for sure. Add to that the cut back I. Guest voyages to only 3 per week or less tells me they are reacting to guest demand which is falling off. A pipe dream with no long term legs. It will be interesting to see how this will be re-imagined. A giant immersive restaurant and trinket store for Star Wars could be next with a come and go hotel.
