We have a hotel update that could CHANGE your Disney World plans.
Easter is on its way and Disney has already been celebrating with unique snacks, amazing Easter egg displays at both Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and fun activities. But there are 2 special hotels you’ll want to visit to really immerse yourself in the spring fun and one has some particularly unique items EPCOT fans will NOT want to miss!
Get out your Disney World schedule right now and add a few minutes to your plan to go visit Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort — you’ll thank us later! At both of these hotels, you’ll find some incredible Easter egg displays (which we’ve seen pop up at these locations in past years).
We’ll start at the Yacht Club, where the egg theme is Finding Nemo!
Considering the fact that Finding Nemo is celebrating its 20 YEAR anniversary this year (yes, we’re all that old), this theme seems particularly appropriate! On one egg, you’ll see Marlin and Nemo popping out of their anemone (who else learned all about those after the first Finding Nemo came out?).
In another egg, we saw a pelican with Marlin and Dory in his mouth full of water. Does anyone remember the name of the pelican? It’s…Nigel!
And in another part of the display, we spotted some seagulls with their famous phrase from the movie on an egg near them — MINE! (We can practically hear it in our heads right now.)
This display was pretty spectacular, but over at Disney’s Beach Club, we found something that EPCOT fans simply must see — an entire display of Easter eggs with a topiary/Flower & Garden Festival theme! How amazing is that?!
This display had it all. Within one egg, we found “topiaries” of Mickey and Minnie surrounded by flowers. Look at how vibrant those greens and reds are!
In another egg was a “topiary” of Tiana. The Tiana topiary is actually a brand NEW addition to the Flower & Garden Festival this year — you’ll find it in the American Adventure pavilion.
There were also little fairy houses in egg form…
…an egg with a design that seemed to mimic Isabela from Encanto (also a new topiary this year) with a Mickey-shaped cactus next to it…
…another that appeared to look like Spike the Bee (you can hunt for him at the Festival with a special scavenger hunt)…
…a gorgeous blue design with pink flowers…
…and even Donald and Daisy in “topiary” form.
But perhaps our favorite design was the one meant to look like a topiary of FIGMENT! That’s right — the little purple dragon is taking over Easter too!
Overall, these eggs are incredibly detailed, absolutely beautiful, and a true delight to check out. Considering they’re just a short walk away from EPCOT (if you go out the International Gateway exit/entrance), they’re fairly easy to get to as well. So, if you love EPCOT, Easter eggs, and exploring Disney World’s hotels, be sure to visit these on your next trip.
