Let’s face it. No day at Disneyland is complete without indulging in some of the delicious food.
Disneyland is home to some of our favorite table service and counter service restaurants, where you can find some great Disney treats. Come along as we show you all our favorite places to eat in Disneyland — but here’s a warning that you might get hungry!
Here, we’ve ranked all our favorite restaurants in Disneyland so that you’ll already know where the best spots are. We’ve ranked five table service restaurants (which are sit-down restaurants) and six counter service restaurants (which are fast food-style restaurants.) We’ll be including important details on all of them so that you can know exactly which ones you’ll be adding to your magical day in Disneyland.
Alright, are you ready to eat? Lets go! We’ll start off strong with our favorite table service restaurant options.
Table Service
There are a few things you should know about table service restaurants before we talk about the restaurants. First, these meals are going to be a bit pricier than counter service meals, due to the portion sizes, quality, service, and atmosphere of the restaurant. These are just a bit fancier — but not so fancy you can’t just walk in after a long day in the parks. Secondly, you’ll need to make a reservation to visit any of these table service restaurants. Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance of your desired date, so make sure to stay on top of your trip dates and your desired restaurants!
Alright, FINALLY we can talk about some food!
5. Oga’s Cantina
Oga’s Cantina is a bar and lounge located inside Galaxy’s Edge. Here, you’ll find specialty beverages and cocktails all themed to Star Wars!
Don’t worry though, there are options for just about anyone, with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic menu offerings. Reservations can be hard to come by for this lounge due to its popularity, so we suggest making them as soon as possible! You can also walk up and request a reservation since this is technically a lounge, but there are no guarantees that you’ll be able to grab a seat.
4. Blue Bayou
Blue Bayou is a fan-favorite restaurant tucked into New Orleans Square that serves specialty jambalaya and the popular Monte Cristo Sandwich.
The restaurant is adorned in soft, twinkling lights and rests under a canopy of moss. Select seating here overlooks the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction! On top of the Louisiana-inspired menu, you can also choose from an array of wines, beers, and cocktails.
3. Plaza Inn Breakfast
This is a character meal set right on Main Street, USA! Plaza Inn has served guests since Disneyland’s opening day in 1955 and continues to serve classic American cuisine.
While this restaurant serves counter service meals for most of the day, breakfast is an all-you-care-to-enjoy style meal with Minnie and her friends, called Minnie & Friends — Breakfast in the Park!
2. Carnation Cafe
This fan-favorite eatery is another that serves up classic American cuisine! For breakfast, you can enjoy Mickey Waffles and classic southern comfort foods like country fried steak and eggs.
For the rest of the day, you can enjoy classic meals such as meatloaf, chili, and desserts like milkshakes, malts, and ice cream sundaes.
1. Cafe Orleans
Alright, this one is our TOP Disneyland restaurant. Cafe Orleans is very similar to Blue Bayou in terms of location and serving Louisiana-style food.
The atmosphere is very classy, and the Monte Cristo Sandwich and French Onion soup are some of our favorites on the menu. Plus, Walt Disney himself dined here back in the day! We also love that you can sit inside in the dining room, or outside on the covered patio!
Okay, whew! This is a LOT of information, so this is a great time to take a breather! We’ve got a little fun break for you now – check out all the new, fun Disney-themed graphic tees and more in our merch store by clicking here!
On our store website, you’ll find all sorts of merch and designs featuring park snacks, iconic rides, and more! Speaking of snacks, we have more food to discuss. 😉
Counter Service
Counter service restaurants are going to have a lower price point compared with table service restaurants. Of course, with that can come lower quality when generally speaking, but we seriously think that these counter service options serve up some serious competition to even some table service restaurants at Disney. You don’t need a reservation for these restaurants, and can either purchase via mobile order in the Disneyland app or by placing an order in person. Another thing to note is that not all of these restaurants have available seating.
Honorable Mention: French Market
This fan-favorite restaurant is now closed, alongside the Mint Julep Bar with which it shared a building. (Oh, and people LOVE the Mickey Beignets sold at Mint Julep Bar!)
However, French Market will be completely reimagined to become Tiana’s Palace, an all new eatery! Plus, we believe the Mint Julep Bar will return, Mickey Beignets and all.
6. Bengal BBQ
This fan-favorite is located in Adventureland and is where you can find a few popular Disneyland treats.
Here, you’ll find Jungle Skewers (grilled meat skewers coated in select sauces and spices) and Tiger Tails (soft, savory bread).
5. Ronto Roasters
This is another restaurant located in Galaxy’s Edge! Here, you’ll find droids serving up delicious ronto. You’re wondering what ronto is?
Ronto is the beast that roams the lands of Tattooine, Luke Skywalker’s home planet. Some fan-favorite food options include the Ronto Wrap and turkey jerky!
4. Jolly Holiday
Jolly Holiday is a Disneyland classic, located right on Main Street, USA.
Here, you’ll find specialty pastries, macaroons, teas, coffees, soups, and quiches. This restaurant is themed to Mary Poppins and even features a stained glass window that features the penguins from the movie! You can sit down at the outdoor patio to enjoy your treats.
3. Hungry Bear
This restaurant is located in Critter Country and offers open-air dining!
Here, you’ll find large portions of burgers, salads, loaded sides, and even funnel cakes. One of our favorite things about Hungry Bear are the seasonal funnel cakes! We’ve tried several in the past, and they never disappoint.
2. Rancho del Zocalo
Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante is located in Fronteirland and provides open-air seating and a wide variety of Mexican dishes!
From Horchata Cold Brew to Cinnamon Crisps, Rancho del Zocalo satisfies! The food here is great and the portions are large, but one thing that sticks out to us about this quick service spot is that it actually serves breakfast, too!
1. Plaza Inn Lunch and Dinner
Our FAVORITE counter service option might seem a bit familiar… it’s the lunch and dinner offerings from Plaza Inn that we mentioned earlier!
Lunch and dinner at Plaza Inn are served cafeteria-style — but don’t let that scare you away. From fried chicken to pot roast, this restaurant has hearty eats that won’t disappoint.
And there you have it! Now, you know where to find ALL the good food in Disneyland. If you’re looking for more snacks to eat (no judgement, because we’re always hungry) at Disneyland, click the link below!
