When it comes to deciding when to plan your Disney World trip, there are certain times of the year that tend to be busier than others.
Of course, we see some pretty intense crowds during holidays, the summer, and the spring break season too. But, you’ll also find crowds at certain times throughout the year when you may be least expecting it. Disney World plays host to several special events that could bring crowds to the parks, and we just learned about another one you might want to mark your calendar for!
Disney World is hosting the 2023 Out & Equal Workplace Summit from September 11th to 14th, according to the Miami Herald. Out & Equal is a California-based LGBTQ+ workplace equality organization.
The Orlando Sentinel reported that the event is expected to bring in over 5,000 people “who will discuss gay and transgender inclusivity and equality in the workplace.”
Disney has worked with Out & Equal for a number of years, and The Walt Disney Co. is listed as one of the organization’s top sponsors on its website. This is also not the first time Disney has hosted Out & Equal events, either.
An event like this can no doubt draw thousands of additional people to the Disney World resort, especially if the anticipated number of attendees is anywhere near correct. Whether or not the event guests will also be visiting the parks we’re not sure just yet, but typically, when Disney hosts events (like other conferences or even sporting events) we see crowds and wait times increase.
If you’re planning a Disney World trip for this year, keep special events like this in mind as you might run into more crowds than you were expecting! We’ve got a list of dates you might want to know when planning your trip, and you can check that out at the link below.
