TRON Lightcycle / Run will officially open in Magic Kingdom SOON on April 4th.
The coaster is currently having a soft opening, which will run through April 2nd, so people who are at Disney World now can try to join the virtual queue or purchase an individual Lightning Lane to get on TRON early. Park Pass Reservations have been sold out for Magic Kingdom for a while now, but we just spotted an important UPDATE for Annual Passholders looking to ride TRON on its opening day.
Currently, there are Park Passes available for Magic Kingdom on April 4th for anyone who has an Incredi-Pass or Sorcerer Pass. Note that this date is blocked out for Pirate Passes and Pixie Dust Passes. If you hold an eligible pass and want to ride TRON on its official opening day, be sure to book your pass ASAP!
We’ve seen this date sell out of Park Passes multiple times, and more passes have been restocked after a few days each time. If the date sells out again, be sure to keep checking back to see if more passes appear.
Disney World currently requires all visitors to have a Park Pass Reservation in order to enter any of the theme parks. However, if you have Park Hopper, you do not need a reservation to enter whichever parks you hop to after 2PM.
If you aren’t able to secure a Magic Kingdom Park Pass for April 4th, you may be able to hop over to Magic Kingdom after 2PM. You likely wouldn’t be able to get in the virtual queue (as you must have a Magic Kingdom Park Pass to join the 7AM virtual queue and must be inside the park to join the 1PM virtual queue), but you could try to purchase a Lightning Lane in the morning for a time after 2PM in order to ride. You can purchase those Lightning Lane passes starting at 7AM if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel or at the park’s opening time if you are not. Remember that TRON does NOT have a standby line, so the virtual queue and Lightning Lane are the only options to ride it.
We’ll continue to watch for more updates on the TRON Lightcycle / Run coaster, so stay tuned to DFB for all the latest updates.
