It’s happened. We never thought it would actually happen, but we were wrong.
We ran into a terrifying problem in EPCOT today, and, not to be dramatic, but it might mean the end of the world. Seriously, we wouldn’t wish this catastrophe on our worst enemies. It’s that bad. Is it an early April Fool’s joke? Because it’s NOT funny, Disney.
While we were at EPCOT Friday, we decided that we needed a refreshing drink to stay hydrated. So of course we headed over to Club Cool.
If you’ve never visited Club Cool before, you’re really missing out. This spot is Coca-Cola themed, and you can find all kinds of branded merchandise for sale. The real highlight, though, is the wall of drink machines where you can sample different beverages from around the world!
Some of these drinks are super tasty and others…not so much. We all have our own opinions about which drink is the best, but almost everyone can agree on which drink is the WORST: the infamous Beverly.
This drink is from Italy, and many people who try it find it to be exceptionally bitter (although there are some people who love it). Overall, it’s not a popular choice and we’ve even seen many guests intentionally trick their friends into trying it because they know it’ll be a surprising and unpleasant experience.
However, today WE were the ones who were surprised by an unpleasant experience: ALL of the drinks at Club Cool were gone EXCEPT for Beverly!
UPDATE: Several flavors have since returned to Club Cool as of April 4th, 2023.
We’ve seen this spot temporarily run out of certain drinks from time to time, but usually there are at least a few different options to choose from. Not today.
Over at Club Cool…you don’t have many options. BEVERLY IS THE OPTION. 🫣🫠 pic.twitter.com/5B64NcFDML

Nope — every single flavor on EVERY machine was marked as unavailable except for the only one that we really can’t stand. All of the little signs said “Please Try Another Flavor” but what were we supposed to do?! We felt like they were mocking us.
While this post is a little tongue in cheek, it’s still a major bummer when things like this happen. If this happens to you when you visit EPCOT, know that we can empathize with your terrible misfortune. You can purchase some drinks inside Club Cool at the counter towards the back of the store, and that might be the way to go if you want a refreshing and tasty beverage. Or you can head to World Showcase and try drinks from around the world at the various pavilions there!
Another option would be to visit the Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar in Disney Springs to find more interesting drinks and even some cocktails. This spot also has the option to sample drinks from around the world, but you must pay for the drinks here (unlike at Club Cool in EPCOT).
As of right now, we’re not sure if Disney did this on purpose as an April Fool’s joke, or if it was just coincidence (it was likely a coincidence — the drinks were missing for several days and a Cast Member confirmed that they really were just out of several drinks)!
When we went back to check on this situation on April 4th, 2023, we saw that several drinks were available once again, including some popular flavors. A few are still missing, but you have many more options than just Beverly now!
Faith in Club Cool has been restored — more flavors are back other than the Beverly! 🙌 pic.twitter.com/JSgeL0AhBH

Ellen Vadney says
I love Beverly! The Coca-Cola bar in Disney Springs makes a terrific cocktail using Beverly! Yum!
Brian says
Y’all hate on Beverly but we went during the Festival of the Arts and paired the Compressed Watermelon Tataki with a mix of Beverly and Royal Wattamelon- that was legit a GOOD pairing.
Cynthia says
How strange! Could it have been an April fools joke?
Thomas Welsh says
If you’re a DVC member, you can also go to the DVC Club atop the World of Imagination.
Vanessa says
It was a joke.
If they really had nothing to offer, they would have a sign outside.
People seriously have no sense of humor or ability to think beyond the most obvious. It’s like when everyone went absolutely bananas because the Hoop de Doo Revue was shortened and they were offered bowls as they left — did they seriously not catch onto the fact that this was meant as a tongue-in-cheek continuation of the show? That show is a play on the old time wagon shows that would usually involve peddlers trying to sell “antiques” and “valuables” to the crowd. They even told people to check their value on eBay — a joking suggestion the bowls are worth a lot. It’s hysterical and everybody was so uptight and entitled they tried to make it out to be Disney being “bizarre” and cheap.
Lorraine Marie Pollachek says
I have to agree with your opinion of Beverly. It is not just bitter, it is VILE! This has always disappointed me because my late mother’s name is Beverly.
Lyn says
Did anyone try getting a drink from the other countries, or did everyone just believe the signs?
Melanie says
I LOVE Beverly. My favorite!
Joan says
I love Beverly. Different strokes for different folks! Joan from Canada 🇨🇦.

Hi Vanessa. Thank you for reaching out with your comment, however, this was not a joke planned by Disney. Our reporters have seen the flavors dwindling down one by one for weeks now. We have been checking Club Cool every day and on this particular day the only offering left was Beverly while they wait to get the other flavors back in. While there was not a sign outside the door that we noticed, all of the other flavors said “Please Try Another Flavor” to indicate that there was nothing in the other options and this has been the case for a short time now. 🙂
DFB Gigi says
Hi Cynthia! We have noticed the flavors dwindling down over the last few weeks so it’s unlikely. This was also spotted the day before April Fool’s day.
C Andersen says
Nope! It’s been a thing for awhile now. We were there last Saturday and there were only 3 drinks to choose from, Beverly, the bbq smoke drink and the raspberry one. It was very depressing…. but this news is worse! Sad 😢
Carissa says
I tried the Beverly since the hate hype was so strong on it. I liked it so idk…🤷♀️
Theresa Rodgers says
We were there Thursday March 30 and they said that they are unable to get the syrups to make the other flavors.
Wendy says
Beverly is honestly the only soda I will drink there…all of the other options are sickeningly sweet or taste super fake. When I need a break from the rich food, I go grab a cup of Beverly and it’s like an instant refresh. Perfect nonalcoholic digestif!
Kim says
We were there on March 26th and they only have the Beverlyand the time before on February 9the they only the Beverly and 2 other drinks.
Cookie says
It is not a joke. I work at Club Cool and we have no drinks except Beverly. We do NOT know when the other flavors will return. Please do not blame us. Coke is in charge of the store.
Phill says
I quite liked Beverly
DFB Gigi says
Thank you so much for your comment, Cookie! I hope the situation gets better for you soon.
Mia says
My first visit to Epcot this past Monday and learned about Beverly the hard way. I was sooo thirsty and it was the only option. How bad could it be? I filled up a cup full and chugged it all down.
Ugh! My mouth tasted like earwax all afternoon. Horrible stuff.
Jean says
I am so glad to see so many Beverly fans come forward. I laugh at all the crazy looks I get as I march up and pour myself a Beverly. It reminds me of my time in Italy. It is refreshing and not sickly sweet.
Charity says
Found out, after visiting Disney Springs, that you can get the drinks at the Coke store. BUUUUT, it’s gonna cost you $18 for 2 sample trays….. hmmmm, go figure 😐smh
