Can you believe it’s the LAST day of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary?
This celebration lasted for over a year — it began on October 1st of 2021, and now it’s finally coming to an end. We started to see the 50th Anniversary disappear from the parks a few weeks ago, and we’re there for the final day today, but let’s really take a look at these CROWDS!
The first thing we noticed when we arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning was that there was a bit of a line at the park’s entrance.
Now, keep in mind, that we’re also dealing with Spring Break crowds, too, so today could be a sort of double whammy for crowds. The park itself was pretty busy.
By this time (around 11AM EST), ride wait times at Hollywood Studios were getting longer: Alien Swirling Saucers was at 40 minutes, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway was at 70 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run was at 95 minutes, Slinky Dog Dash was at 105 minutes, and Rise of the Resistance was at 105 minutes — we expect these wait times to go up significantly throughout the day.
Later in the day, though, the crowds seemed to have spread out a bit, so it didn’t feel quite so cramped.
That’s not to say that other areas of Hollywood Studios didn’t feel busy, though.
Things were also looking pretty busy at the Transportation and Ticket Center (remember, if the Express Monorail has a huge line, try the Resort Monorail instead — it may get you there faster!)

Once we were inside Magic Kingdom, it still looked a little busy, but it’s not shoulder-to-shoulder people…yet. Side note: today is the last day to grab one of those 50th-anniversary balloons.
Later in the day, we saw things similar to Hollywood Studios: Main Street, U.S.A. wasn’t quite so crowded as people dispersed to other areas of the park.
It did feel a bit crowded near Cinderella Castle, though — we expect we’ll see at least part of the castle’s decor disappear by tomorrow.
While we’re sad to see the 50th Anniversary go, we’re excited to see Disney’s 100th Anniversary start to take its place, and we’re comforted to know that some of our favorite parts of the celebration aren’t going away.
We’ll continue to update this post throughout the day to give you an idea of what crowds look like, so be sure to check back often — and as always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news!
