One of the most classic restaurants in Disney World has CHANGED.
California Grill is located at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This high-end restaurant is known for great food and even better views. Before Disney World began celebrating its 50th anniversary back in October 2021, the Grill had an a la carte menu. Once the big anniversary event began, that menu was swapped out for a special prix fixe menu to celebrate the occasion. But now that the 50th anniversary is officially over, the menu has changed once more. Come with us to see what it’s like now!
The new menu at California Grill is still prix fixe (not a la carte like it was before the 50th anniversary), meaning you’ll pay one set price per person and then choose which dish you want for each course. Visitors will be served a three-course meal that features “contemporary, market-inspired cuisine” like fire-roasted venison, goat cheese ravioli, and lemon chiffon cake.
The menu debuted today, April 1st, at this restaurant.

When we arrived we didn’t notice anything different about the restaurant itself.
We started off with the plant-based Strawberry and Raspberry Salad.
Up first, the Strawberry and Raspberry Salad! This has Marcona Almond-Cocoa 'Soil', Strawberry Variations, Shaved Radish, and Whipped Raspberry Vinaigrette making it a plant-based option. pic.twitter.com/RuhR99jJT5

Our other reporter ordered the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli!

This dish used to be on the menu before the 50th anniversary prix fixe menu was introduced, and we’re happy to see it back! It’s made with Basil-Saffron Pasta, Tomato Broth, Mushroom Ragoût, and Fennel — the main difference we noticed was that there was less broth.
Now it’s time for the entrees!
For our first entrée we tried the plant-based Saffron Risotto with Harissa-Honey Nut Squash, and Spiced Hummus Chermoula. pic.twitter.com/dln6bkiCAT

Pippen says
Does Disney allow sharing of pre fix menus or does each adult at the table have to pay the pre fix price ?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Pippen! Each adult has to pay the full prix-fixe price.
