We just celebrated April Fool’s Day, and wow, the theme park scene came PREPARED.

We look forward to April not because of spring or the Easter season, but for scouring the internet for hilarious April Fool’s shenanigans! Last year Disney was winning the April Fool’s Day game by making a joke about the infamous Stitch toilet paper castle (if you know, you know) and this year, we’re on the hunt for the BEST April Fool’s Day tricks!

Universal Orlando

Ah, the Universal Orlando Twitter team. If you’ve been following the theme park giant on Twitter, you’ll know that Univeral is no stranger to jokes, so of course we expected them to get in on the April Fool’s Day fun!

This is a parody of the Animal Actors show at Universal Studios, and it had us cackling! These Universal employees are dedicated to the craft because they crawled up in the Animal Actors set — now that’s commitment!

Disney World

Disney World didn’t trick us on social media this year but in person! In EPCOT, Club Cool is a Coca-Cola merchandise location that also allows guests to sample different flavors of Coca-Cola products from around the world for FREE!

Some of the flavors can swap out from time to time, but one staple that has become a rite of passage for Disney enthusiasts is the notorious Beverly.

The infamous Beverly beverage hails from Italy, and while it is an acquired taste, most people find the drink to be incredibly bitter. In fact, some Disney World veterans will even trick their unsuspecting friends into tasting Beverly for the first time at Club Cool.

Well, this April Fool’s Day weekend, we had the tables turned on us when we visited Club Cool in EPCOT and noticed that Beverly is currently the only flavor available!

We spoke with a Cast Member about the missing flavors and they told us that despite the appropriate timing, this actually isn’t an intentional joke they’re pulling on us — Club Cool occasionally has issues with keeping flavors in stock, and that’s the reason for the current absence of all of the flavors except Beverly.

UPDATE: Club Cool has since restocked several flavors, so Beverly is no longer the only option, as of April 4th, 2023.

It looks like all those Spring Break crowds must have been thirsty!

If you have plans to visit EPCOT soon, keep in mind that Club Cool might have limited flavors available. But don’t worry, you’re just a short walk away from the World Showcase, where there are plenty of unique drinks to try, including the seasonal offerings from the Flower & Garden Festival!

Knott’s Berry Farm

Okay, this next joke might hit close to home for Disney World fans! Knott’s Berry Farm took to Twitter to “announce” a new interactive experience at the theme park called the Berry Band! It says “Hear the Catawampus moo, chat with Sad Eye Joe, and even feel the heartbeat in Boothill Cemetary.” Does this sound familiar to anyone?

We don’t know about you, but it seems like a joke about MagicBand+ at Disney World and Disneyland! At Disney World, there are several golden statues that interact with you when you wave your MagicBand+ near them.

There’s even a hidden joke in the pricing! It says “Buy now for $41.23” — this translates to the date 4/1/23. Very clear, Knott’s Berry Farm!

Six Flags

Since there are many Six Flags locations around the country, we got several April Fool’s Day contributions from Six Flags, but we picked out a couple of favorites. Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas made a post about the Power Surge 2: Rafting Adventure opening in Summer of 2024! Going over a waterfall in a raft? Looks like a good time, right?

Six Flags America located in the D.C. area might have our favorite Six Flags post of the day. The park jokes that after going cashless in 2020, the park is now going plate-less! It says “For your convenience, you can now dig into your favorite foods without anything getting in your way.” Can you imagine?!
