Got your tissues ready? Good, because Happily Ever After is officially BACK in Magic Kingdom!
We’re so excited to have this show return to Disney World, and we’re not the only ones celebrating. Fans have been awaiting the return of the beloved nighttime show since it was first announced at the D23 Expo in 2022. We were able to get a preview of the show’s return last month, but today (April 3rd) is its official return, and the crowds definitely turned up to see the “new” show.
We are at Magic Kingdom tonight to see the show’s first official night back, and we’re bringing you along to check it out. Before we get to the crowds, we have to ask — do you have an outfit ready for this show’s return? If not, we have just the thing for you! Our DFB Store has some NEW Happily Ever After designs. You can shop them by clicking the image below!
We arrived a few hours early to get a good viewing spot for Happily Ever After, and it turns out, a lot of other people had the same idea.

About an hour and a half before the show started, the Hub in front of Cinderella Castle was pretty full!
Lots of people claimed their spots early so they could get the best view of the returning show. If a good view of the fireworks is a priority for you, the Hub is a great viewing spot.
Keep in mind that it’s likely to be very crowded throughout the Hub and all along Main Street, U.S.A. If you want fewer crowds, you may want to watch from one of the side streets, which don’t have as good of a view but will likely be much less people-y.
One NEW thing about Happily Ever After is that it now features projections all along Main Street, U.S.A. If you want to check out those new elements, you should move back down Main Street a little bit. You can’t really see that part of the show if you’re in the Hub area.
Quick crowd level update from Magic Kingdom! It’s feeling very…people-y right now to say the least. 👀 pic.twitter.com/GtmW0ZLoKX

We’ll continue to update this post and bring you all the news from Magic Kingdom tonight, so stay tuned!
It wasn’t just a big night tonight at Magic Kingdom, though — EPCOT also had a return of a previous nighttime show, EPCOT: Forever. This show will run in EPCOT for a limited time before a new 100th anniversary show debuts later this year.

Huge crowds?? I don’t think so. My fam and I were in MK on the night HEA made its comeback and the park was incredibly quiet. Yes ppl were packed early down Main Street but it’s always like that. The expected crowds were simply not there.
