DFB is all about the FOOD at Walt Disney World. ALL kinds of Disney food. And that means making sure that families with special dietary concerns (gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.) have the information they need to create safe and delicious meal plans for their vacation.
Have you wondered about vegan dining in Walt Disney World? We’re happy to share — vegans CAN eat well at Disney Springs, especially with a little advanced planning.
For starters, in October 2019, Disney announced that every major table- and counter-service restaurant in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort would offer plant-based options! You will find menus with plant-based options that are available throughout Walt Disney World, these items “are made with no animal meat, dairy, eggs or honey. They are made with ingredients that come from plants, including grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and legumes.”
Finding those items on Disney menus is even easier these days.
Just look for the Leaf icon on restaurant menus!
Recently, we’ve spotted more and more options for vegans. For example, Local Green Orlando opened up a food truck with vegan and pescatarian options, and many restaurants have vegetarian or vegan dishes on their menus.
Are you ready for more suggestions? Let’s dig into some vegan meal and snack options at Disney Springs! You didn’t think we’d let you go without a few SNACK recommendations, did you? Some of the most beloved and iconic Disney snacks (Mickey pretzels, popcorn, and Dole Whip) just so happen to be vegan!
Just remember that Disney menus are constantly changing, so always inquire about your vegan options before placing an order.
Kiosks, Carts, and Walk Ups
Feel free to mention your dietary concerns to the Cast Member taking your order.
4 Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck
At many restaurants, it’s all about customization. At this food truck, add roasted sweet potatoes instead of meat to your taco or burrito. Get a taco without crème fraiche or queso fresco. Enjoy a burrito bowl, taco cone, or nachos — without sour cream or queso. Another vegan option is the black beans and cilantro rice dish.
B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co.
Offers a tasty Plant-Based Bratwurst Sausage.
It comes with Sauerkraut and German Mustard on a Pretzel Roll served with a side of chips.
Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream
Try the Vegan Peanut Butter Ice Cream or Vegan Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle Ice Cream.
Local Green Orlando
At this food truck, you’ll find vegan and pescatarian options.
Look for items such as the Bubba Sparxx (vegan Pulled BBQ Sandwich) and the Oh Boy (vegan Beyond Burger).
Marketplace Concessions Stand at AMC Dine-In Theatre (Disney Springs 24)
Stop here for Popcorn or Impossible Nuggets (note that a shared fryer is utilized).
Swirls on the Water
Opt for Pineapple, Lemon, or Lime Dole Whip! Since all other flavors contain dairy, be sure not to swirl with vanilla. Dole Whip floats are also available.
Note that plain cones are vegan.
Starbucks at the Marketplace
Ask for plant milk in your tea or coffee.
YeSake
At YeSake, try a customized Bowl with veggies or try the Tofu Power Bowl.
Note that Roasted Sesame, Mayo Sauces, and Yum Yum Sauce are NOT vegan.

We can recommend the Reese’s Nitro combo; just ask for a vegan donut.
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain
Ghirardelli has a delicious option. The Non-Dairy Hot Fudge Sundae is made with non-dairy chocolate chips and almond milk, over scoops of non-dairy Vanilla Coconut and finished with almond milk whipped topping, diced almonds, and a cherry.
Plus, a 72% Dark Chocolate Square tops it off!
Gideon’s Bakehouse
At Gideon’s Bakehouse, enjoy a coffee. Cold Brews are completely vegan since the flavoring used is maple syrup instead of honey.
Modify other coffee beverages with oat milk.
Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company
At Joffrey’s, get an Iced Tea or Coffee.
Customize with oat milk!

Typically, two vegan flavors are on the menu and the flavors rotate each month. Recently the two vegan options were Freckled Mint Chocolate Chip and Roasted Pineapple Coconut Sherbet.
We tried the Red Chili Curry option with makrut lime crispy rice.

Grab a sorbetto and cool down during a hot day at Disney Springs!

Go ahead and order Pasta here.

There are some delicious options at Morimoto Asia including Vegetable Sushi, Edamame, Fried Rice (customized to be vegan), Steamed Vegetables, and Kung Pao Cauliflower.

At Paddlefish, vegans can order the guacamole without lobster. For your main dish, try the vegetarian pasta.

Planet Hollywood
Try Pasta with marinara and vegetables.
The Polite Pig
There are a few things here that can be customized to be vegan (BBQ Cauliflower without the sour cream, Crispy Brussel Sprouts without the caramel, and Sweet Potato Tots without the cheese).

REVIEW: Disney World’s ‘Spicy Chicken’ Sandwich Is…Neither of Those Things
Remember to always ask your server or a chef if an item is vegan. Walt Disney World restaurants are constantly changing ingredients and suppliers. Even if you’re a vegan, you can find a bunch of great food at Disney Springs!
More Helpful Hints and Resources
Though it is far less difficult these days for vegans to find options throughout Walt Disney World, as with other guests dining with special diet concerns, you may wish to note that there is a plant-based guest in your dining party on any Advance Dining Reservations you make for Table Service restaurants. We recommend clearly noting your restrictions (no eggs, no meat, no dairy, no honey, etc.).
Of course, if you would like to learn more about your options even prior to making your Advance Dining Reservations, you can peruse individual restaurant menus on the Walt Disney World website or visit the Walt Disney World website’s Plant-based Dining Guide page.
If you are dining at a Counter Service location which accepts Mobile Order, keep your eyes peeled for the Plant-based icon! (Not familiar with Mobile Order? Learn more here!)
