We’ve seen quite a few things change now that Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations are over.
Snacks have been removed from menus, decorations are starting to disappear from the parks, and entertainment offerings have gone back to normal. (Including the return of two pre-anniversary fireworks shows!) But now, there’s a change that you may be able to see from your own home!
In honor of the 50th Anniversary, the My Disney Experience app had a special limited-time look.
The home screen when you opened the app also featured an “EARidescent” castle and the 50th logo, just to remind you about the special celebrations. But today, a new update for the app has been released!
If you update your app now, you’ll be met with a new design. It’s a simple blue-and-white castle icon!
The welcome page of the app has changed as well, now featuring an understated blue screen with the Cinderella Castle outline. No more iridescent colors!
It’s a small change that’s the sign of an era ending. But this isn’t the only time that we saw the app get an update recently — a few days ago Disney World changed its Mobile Order feature to be a little more user-friendly.
We’ll keep you in the loop if there are any more app changes, so stay tuned to DFB!
