When it comes to setting up your Disney World day for success, making sure everyone in your party is fed can be one of the most important steps.
And in most cases, that means starting with a solid breakfast! Luckily, you can find the most important meal of the day at all of Disney World’s hotels — even the Value Resorts. While you might not find anything super flashy or fancy here, come with us to find out if Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort might be exactly what you’re after!
Atmosphere
As the name implies, Intermission Food Court is a (you guessed it!) food court. This means you’ll peruse options in a cafeteria-like setting. You can order items a la carte, or take what you need from various grab-and-go spots.
There is plenty of seating, and it’s all first come, first-served. Depending on when you visit, there may be quite a crowd, but you shouldn’t have to wait too long to sit. Most of the crowds will be around during peak mealtimes — breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
There are various different stations set up, each serving different items. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all served here and chances are there’s something for just about everyone in your group. There are plenty of snacks and sweet treats too!
But enough talk, let’s check out the menu!
Menu
We’re dining during breakfast, and we’ve got quite the setlist of choices. You’ll find sweets like pancakes and waffles, plus an omelet and bagel sandwiches…
…plenty of eats for our plant-based pals…
…a good deal of sides…
…some goodies for the kiddos…
..and check out that bakery lineup!
You’ll find some fresh fruit…
…and snacks like yogurt parfaits, cereal, and Uncrustables too.
Of course, there are lots of beverages like Joffrey’s Coffee, tea, and more…
…and soft drinks, bottled sodas, and juices.
Oh, did you want more juice options? They’ve got you covered. And milk too!

Eats
We started things off with the classic breakfast — Mickey-shaped Waffles with Bacon and Sausage for $10.49. Is there anything more iconic than Mickey waffles to start your day? Can you have Mickey waffles every day? Asking for a friend.
These waffles were thick, but super light, fluffy, and easy to cut. They were darker in color than the rest of the waffles we tried (yes, this is a waffle-eating experiment — you know, for science) but that just meant they were nice and golden on the outside but warm and soft on the inside.
The bacon was on the undercooked side, but that was probably just the batch we had. It had a great smoky flavor and certainly scratched the itch. Not only that, but the sausage links were perfectly cooked — they weren’t too dry and had a nice color on the outside.
If you follow a plant-based diet, you can still partake in the Mickey waffle tradition for $10.49. You won’t get any meat with this entree, but you do get some delicious Disney potato barrels on the side.
We were pleasantly surprised by these! We didn’t really notice much of a difference between these and the regular Mickey waffles, other than maybe the color. They weren’t quite as crispy on the outside, but that might have just been because they didn’t get cooked as long.
The potato barrels were perfectly crispy, greasy, and fluffy — just how we like ’em.
Last up on the list of waffles for us this time around were the Gluten/Wheat Allergy Friendly Mickey Waffles for $10.49. Unfortunately, we could tell that these were a bit different from the regular waffles — but they were still a great option!
The texture was a bit grainier (probably from non-wheat flour) and was a similar consistency to pancakes rather than waffles. There was still that sweet, waffley flavor though! Keep these in mind if you’re looking for a solid breakfast option!
Finally, we tried the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Bagel Sandwich for $6.99. This is made with a plain bagel, bacon, scrambled egg, and sliced cheese. Surprisingly, this was our favorite item we tried for breakfast! The bagel was soft and it was a good serving of eggs — perfect to keep you full on a park day.
The cheese was melty and the bacon was crispy — the combination of salty flavors was just top-notch. Sometimes bagel sandwiches can be tough and hard to bite into, but that wasn’t the case here. Our only criticism was that it was a bit on the dry side, but there are plenty of different sauce options at your disposal at the food court.
So, should you take the time to grab breakfast at Intermission Food Court before heading into the parks?
