The EPCOT transformation has been a years-long project (and if you’ve been to EPCOT, you’ve seen ALL the construction walls).

Although a lot of the transformation is complete, including two new rides (Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind), even MORE is coming, including a new attraction based on Moana. Now, we have a BIG update about that attraction.
Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana will be an immersive walkthrough experience that will take you through a “lush exploration trail” to “play with magical, living water.” Well, now, we have a look at some of that “magical, living water” because Disney posted a video of one of the attraction’s waterfalls.

Although we’ve seen photos and other videos inside the attraction, this is the first time we’ve seen one of the features in it working, and that’s pretty exciting. We also love that this experience feels so CHILL, meaning it might be the perfect escape for some people right in the heart of EPCOT.
Now, how about ANOTHER new video from inside the ride?
In addition, the attraction will also teach us about “the importance of the natural water cycle.” The Imagineering team has created a LOT of original pieces inside Journey of Water that will guide guests through the cycle of water. So it’s both fun and educational (which is the EPCOT way!).

Throughout the experience, you’ll see a lot of symbols and iconography from Moana, as well as see a huge Te-Fiti, just like in the movie.

So when will the attraction be ready for visitors? Well, Disney has shared that Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana is set to open in the fall of 2023, which isn’t really that far away. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the project’s progress and keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more!

Hope gor several easy to access bath rooms with all that splshing water. Sure took a very vety long time . Not impressed and we were just there in wall land Epcot 10 days ago.
Sure wish that if you include some videos with the topic you would add them in some other format than tictok or instagram…for those of us who DON’T have those apps!!
You can still watch the videos if you don’t have the apps. I watch them on my computer all the time and have neither app installed.
