Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate!
We’ve been warning you about the high Disney Genie+ prices to expect this whole week, due to both spring break crowds and the Easter holiday weekend. Now that it’s officially Easter, it’s time to take a look at the crowds around Disney World.
We visited Magic Kingdom this morning and were quite surprised after we entered that the crowds just weren’t really that bad. So far, we’d say that, historically, Easter Day might not actually be that busy, but it does feel a little busier this year than it was on Easter last year.
Even when we got to Main Street, U.S.A. heading towards the castle, the crowds still seemed pretty light. Granted, it is a rainy morning, and we expect that a lot of folks are sheltering inside the shops.
We did notice that once the rain stopped, we saw a lot more people outside on Main Street, U.S.A. Around 12PM — the time for the first parade — the shockingly empty park started to feel quite a bit more full.
We took some time to stop and watch the Easter Parade again (you can see more photos of that here). As you can see, a LOT of people joined us in watching it.
After, we headed on over to Tomorrowland, where things were feeling a little cramped. Apparently people were waiting til the afternoon to head out into the park!
It wasn’t TOO bad heading towards The Lunching Pad…
…but it felt VERY crowded around the PeopleMover.
When we headed into Storybook Circus, we felt like the crowds had picked up a little more.
Park Pass Reservations for Magic Kingdom were completely sold out today, so it makes sense that the crowds would feel pretty dense. We’ll be in the parks all day covering Easter happenings, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news!
