It’s official.
Disney World has moved on from the 50th anniversary and on to the next celebration. While some decor from the 50th anniversary is still lingering (we’re looking at you, pink castle), Cast Members are making way for the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. We’ve been seeing new merch all around the parks for a while now, but today a major decor addition came to Magic Kingdom!
This morning, after scanning into the park, we noticed there was a new 100th-anniversary sign in front of the train station!
It’s simple — one big “100” and a small “Disney100” written in the bottom left. But it’s shiny, true to the platinum colors that define the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary.
People were already starting to line up for pictures in front of the sign this morning.
We also spotted some new decor inside the Emporium!
This isn’t the only transition we’re seeing in Disney World right now. Earlier this week, we noticed that the moat was being drained around Cinderella Castle. This presumably is to remove the remaining 50th anniversary decor, but we’ll keep you updated if any new decor goes up as well.
