The Disney Dining Plan has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean we don’t still think about it every day.
Disney has teased that it will return in the future but hasn’t really mentioned it in a long time — and we’re beginning to wonder if we’ll ever see it again. Fortunately, we have seen a few similar promos pop up — the Dining Promo Card and Quick Service Dining Cards, which allowed guests to book vacation packages with pre-paid, discounted dining cards to be used at select locations. Now, it looks like Disney has released ANOTHER package — and it’s still not the Disney Dining Plan.
Disney has shared a new promotion for UK residents that rewards them for booking their next year’s holiday early. With the 2024 Early Booker Package, visitors who book by July 6th, 2023, are eligible for a dining and merch credit, discounted theme park tickets, and a Disney Gift Card.
Guests who stay for two weeks at select Disney hotels will receive:
- Up to $2,100 on a Dining & Merchandise Credit. August-September arrivals are eligible for up to $2,100 per room. Jan-December arrivals are eligible for up to $1,200 per room.
- 14-day ticket for the price of a 7-day ticket. This is available on most 2024 arrivals and includes Memory Maker (worth $199).
- Up to $400 Disney Gift Card. Get a $200 Gift Card with a Hotel & Ticket Package, or get a $400 Gift Card when you book a flight-inclusive package.
What does this mean for the Disney Dining Plan (DDP)? Well, often we see deals in the UK before a similar one pops up in the U.S. This happened with free dining promotions before 2020, and it also happened more recently with the Disney Dining Card promotion last year, so the UK package promotions are a fairly reliable indicator for what’s coming to the U.S.
Unfortunately, the 2024 packages don’t make any mention of the DDP, so it appears that Disney will continue offering deals with dining and merchandise credits rather than bring the plan back — at least for the time being.
In the meantime, this package is available for those booking by July 6th, so if you’re in the UK — keep this deal in mind. For those of us in the US, this promotion could be making its way across the pond soon, so stay tuned!
We’ll keep an eye out for any more updates about Disney promotions, so follow along to DFB for more.

Chris says
I think this will be the future.
Disney Dollars for example – credit you can buy towards food and merchandise.
It makes sense to bring in the ability to get “marginal” discounts on merchandise as research shows it encourages people to buy it as opposed to not buying it
Brandon says
The Disney dining Plan was convenient but it didn’t save you any money.
I’ve bought it in the past as well as the “Free” dining plan. And it didn’t not save ANY money.

So let’s give those traveling overseas dining deals but those in the States who travel thousands of miles get nothing. Just like the Annual Passes. Those who live out of state get the short end of the stick while Florida residents (those who can go Whenever) get the good deals. We live in Texas and want to get passes but can’t afford it for our family at 1200/person and now this.
Dottyanna says
We will never get this discount in the states. Disney treats guests from the UK much better than everyone here, with the exception of Florida residents. I am happy for those in UK, but unhappy with Disneys treatment of us.
I have often wondered why UK citizens choose Florida over Paris? MUCH shorter trip!
E says
Sorry but Disney gives the UK better promotions often than the USA I get it they stay longer probably spend more but it still kind of stinks because I have yet to see an offer that does something similar with ticket prices as well as dining in the USA
Rebecca says
Isn’t it possible that Disney is actually losing money in the long run by not offering the DDP since the DDP is priced to include pricier meals than a family may not actually eat? Without the DDP, that same family may try to save money by buying cheaper meals.

We are from the U.K.have been to both Disneyland Paris and California, but much prefer Florida. We know how fortunate we are to get these special offers a big plus when booking, however if given the choice would always choose the original dining plan.
