Little by little, we’ve been learning more about the upcoming live-action remake of Disney’s Lilo & Stitch movie. While everyone curiously awaits a first look at the live-action adaptation of Stitch, we’ve been wondering how the new plot will differ from the original! Clearly, there are still a lot of unknowns when it comes to the production of this new movie.
So far, we know that Disney has cast several characters in the live-action remake, including Lilo, Nani, and David! As you may notice, though, there’s one pretty important name missing from the list: STITCH!
The Hollywood Reporter shared that production is officially underway in Hawaii. As the film begins to take shape, we’re left wondering who will voice the character of Stitch.
Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Sanders is in final negotiations to voice the character of Stitch. If you’re unfamiliar, Chris Sanders voiced Stitch in the original film (he also wrote and directed the animated film).
Not only that, but the original voice actress who played Nani, Tia Carrere, is reportedly returning in the live-action remake to play a new character named Tūtū, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Keep in mind that Disney has not confirmed the identity of its new live-action Stitch actor, but we’ll be sure to let you know if anything changes. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more!
