If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, it’s a good idea to look at the calendar ahead of time.
Not only will the Disney World calendar tell you everything you need to know about the park hours, but it’ll also keep you updated on which attractions have temporary closures scheduled in the future. It’ll certainly put a damper on things if you arrive at the parks to find that your favorite ride is down for refurbishment! And if you’re keeping track for an upcoming trip, we have a new refurbishment to tell you about.
According to the Disney World website, it looks like The Boneyard at Animal Kingdom will be closing for refurbishment soon. The refurbishment is listed on the day calendar, and all hours have been removed from the attraction’s page from May 1st-June 12th, 2023.
The Boneyard is a play area for children located in Dinoland, USA. It’s a great spot to visit if you have some little ones who need to run off some steam, and there are slides, dig areas, and other activities to check out. So if you’re traveling during May and June, you’ll want to be aware of this change.
We’ll keep you updated with any more news from the parks and resorts, so stay tuned to DFB! We’re keeping a close eye on all the refurbishments and construction projects in Disney World, so follow along if you want to stay in the loop.

I spent hours there on one visit with my son years ago. When we pass it now he mentions how much fun that day was. I hope it keeps bringing joy to people.

The bone yard saved the day for my family on a trip in 2019. The boys needed to be boys and Grandma was getting tired of saying stop climbing, don’t run. The adults went their way I was able to find a location in the shade and “kept” the water for the kids. They ran and had a blast for 90 minutes while the adults did their own thing.
It is a great respite place.
