We’ve battled all kinds of wild weather in Disney World!
We’ve seen hurricanes, floods, severe thunderstorms, extreme heat, and even a few cold snaps in the parks. And in general, we’re pretty good about being prepared for all of it! But if you’re traveling to Disney World or Central Florida today, there are some weather-related issues that may delay your plans.
The Orlando International Airport has announced via Twitter that there may be issues due to incoming thunderstorms. Travelers may need to expect flight and baggage delays when flying into Orlando, and it’s recommended that you check with your airline for any specific updates.

So what’s going on with the weather? Well, a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Florida and Georgia until 10PM. Possible threats include tornadoes, hail, and winds of up to 70MPH. Orlando is included in the area that’s under the weather warning.
We’ll be on the lookout for more weather updates and we’ll keep you in the loop if there are any more warnings. If you’re traveling today, be safe and keep a close watch on news from your airline. And for those in the theme parks, make sure to hunker down and pack that rain gear!
