Whether you’re team Dark Side or Light Side, Disney has Star Wars fans of all allegiances covered with NEW treats to honor Star Wars Day! For the uninitiated, Star Wars Day (May the Fourth) is a BIG deal in both Disney World and Disneyland (and probably a galaxy far, far away, too!). In fact, the celebration continues even AFTER May 4th! Between all the specialty merchandise and galactic treats made just for Star Wars Day, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the occasion in the parks and resorts.
We’ve been leading up to the big day with lots of fun Star Wars news — there’s a big discount on the Galactic Starcruiser Hotel for Disney Visa Cardholders and it’s been confirmed that Carrie Fisher will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But now Star Wars Day is here, which means there are TONS of snacks you need to know about, and we’re here to give you the rundown on the new and returning treats!
We tried six exclusive Star Wars Day snacks this month. Some were SLAM DUNKS, and others were…not. To make your lives a little easier, we’re ranking ALL the Star Wars foods we’ve tried from bleh to slam dunk.
6. Loyal Astromech Swirl
Walt Disney World
Want to participate in Star Wars Day WITHOUT a park ticket? Good news; there are snacks available in Disney Springs! You can find the Loyal Astromech Swirl at Swirls on the Water for $6.49. This treat will be available from May 4th through May 31st.
Buckle up; this one is a little wacky! The Loyal Astromech Swirl is DOLE Whip Mango swirled with habanero soft-serve in a red velvet cone with toasted graham cracker crumbs, chocolate rocks, and a BB-8 edible garnish. Sweet AND spicy? Swirls on the Water really went for it, didn’t they?
When we said buckle up, we meant it. This treat is HUGE and has a very unique flavor. In fact, the spice might be a little too much to handle for some people. Basically, to describe our experience eating this, we found ourselves feeling the burn from the habanero soft-serve, then trying to cool off our mouth with a lick of the DOLE Whip Mango. It was a little intense!
If you enjoy tropical desserts or don’t mind things with a spicy kick, you might just have found a new favorite treat. If you have a low spice tolerance or aren’t feeling particularly adventurous, don’t order this.

5. Niamos Popcorn Mix
Disneyland Resort
Over at Kat Saka’s Kettle, you can grab the Niamos Popcorn Mix for $6.99.
This isn’t any old butter popcorn; it’s a savory sour cream and chive popcorn with furikake. For those wondering, the Food Network explains that furikake is a “savory Japanese seasoning blend that typically contains dried fish (or other protein), sesame seeds, dried seaweed flakes, sugar, and soy sauce.” As an extra fun fact, furikake means “to sprinkle” in Japanese — how cute!
Truthfully, we didn’t really taste any sour cream or chive flavor. Instead, this tasted more like sweet and savory seasoned popcorn. The flavor didn’t knock our socks off, so don’t expect any flavor-blasted popcorn here. That said, we still enjoyed this slightly sweet, slightly salty snack (try saying that tongue-twister!).
If you want to try a unique popcorn, give this new snack a try! If you aren’t a fan of furikake or prefer sweet snacks, we suggest trying something else.

4. Temple Rootleaf and Moss Salad with Seasoned Gwayo Egg
Disneyland Resort
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge also has a new (and colorful!) Temple Rootleaf and Moss Salad with Seasoned Gwayo Egg at Docking Bay 7 for $15.49.
At first glance, there’s a lot happening here! Specifically, this is made with sweet-savory salad greens, brined vegetables, roasted mushrooms, fried potato noodles, and a soy-marinated soft-boiled egg. You have to be a somewhat adventurous eater to appreciate this one.
We ended up LOVING the sweet and savory greens and vegetables. Each bite came with a refreshing crunch, thanks to the fresh, quality ingredients. Everything had a sweet sort-of soy sauce-like flavor, though admittedly, the fried potato noodles didn’t have much of a strong taste.
The mushrooms were flavorful and perfectly cooked; not too soft, not too crunchy. Our egg was soft and chewy with that same soy sauce flavor. Some bites of the salad also had a little kick, so watch out if you don’t like spice.
This was a VERY filling meal. If you’re looking for a sweet and savory (and also healthy) meal, give this a try! For those that prefer a more traditional salad, you can probably skip this one.

3. Dark Side Chocolate Creation
Walt Disney World
Outside of Galaxy’s Edge, you can grab the Dark Side Chocolate Creation for $5.99 at PizzeRizzo and the Trolley Car Cafe. This Dark Side-inspired treat is a malted milk chocolate mousse dome with raspberry mousse filling, slivered almonds, and chocolate shortbread cookie. We’ve tried this in the past, but we wanted to give it a fresh look this year!
This snack certainly is interesting to look at! The chocolate mouse is nice and fluffy, but what really sets this one apart from your average treat is the addition of that raspberry mousse filling. YUM! The chocolate shortbread cookie was crispy but still crumbled in your mouth, though we didn’t really taste that specific shortbread flavor. The almonds tasted fresh and added an extra hint of flavor.
While that dark syrupy topping helped create that signature Darth Maul appearance, it didn’t have a lot of flavor. If you tend to enjoy chocolate and raspberry flavors, we say give this one a try! If you don’t like chocolate or raspberries (or don’t support the Dark Side), skip this treat.
Note that this dessert is only available on May 4th and May 5th.
2. Tenoo Swirl Crunchies Cereal
Disneyland Resort
Across the way in Disneyland, the Tenoo Swirl Crunchies Cereal drink was calling our name! We got this new drink from the Milk Stand for $9.29. It’s made with blue milk and raspberry sauce and topped with strawberry and grape candy pebbles.
This drink was very sweet. Imagine the classic sweet, fruity taste of blue milk, then multiply that sweetness by THREE thanks to the raspberry sauce and Nerds candy. Interestingly, despite those potentially wacky additions, we ended up liking this MORE than regular blue milk. The crunchy candy added some texture, and the sauce gave it a little boost of sweetness. Overall, this was a sweet and refreshing drink option, and the texture reminded us of an Icee.
If you love blue milk or want a sweet drink, this is the one for you! If you don’t like fruity or sweet flavors, move along, Jedi.
1. Oi-Oi Puff
Walt Disney World
Finally, the #1 spot belongs to a returning Star Wars Day treat called the Oi-Oi Puff at Docking Bay 7. We’ve tried this treat in the past, but we couldn’t help ourselves — we had to taste it one more time!
At $7.44, this raspberry cream puff topped passion fruit mousse was delightful! From the fun decorative plating to the taste itself, we were NOT disappointed with this dessert. Taste-wise, this had a distinct raspberry flavor. The passion fruit topping added a great little tang to the overall treat. The raspberry taste could seem a bit tart if you’re not expecting any strong flavors, but we thought it was perfectly flavored.
The raspberry filling is light and fluffy but thick enough to hold its own shape. Luckily, the filling wasn’t too messy or runny. If you typically enjoy passion fruit-flavored snacks, eclairs, or puff pastries, TRY THIS! If tart fruits aren’t your thing, you should probably order something else.
Note that this dessert is only available on May 4th and May 5th.

We found plenty of these cuties at one of the outdoor snack stands in Tomorrowland.
Disney World
In Disney World, you can sip your soda in style with the new Light Up! Acid Spitter Orb Sipper, sold at Ronto Roasters and Docking Bay 7 for $18.79.
From the outside, it might be a little hard to tell, but there’s a SURPRISE hidden inside that orb!
