EPCOT’s SECRET Soda Flavor is NOT At Club Cool

We recently created a snack hack for this tasty Magic Kingdom treat!

Now, let’s talk about EPCOT. We’re sure you’ve tried a lot (if not all — and yes, that includes Beverly) of soda flavors at Club Cool. But there’s ANOTHER place in EPCOT to get a special soda flavor, one that won’t be found on the menu.

During a recent walk around World Showcase, we stopped at an unassuming little spot called Refreshment Outpost. It’s located between the China and Germany pavilions in EPCOT. You can find some specialty snack items here, especially during EPCOT’s popular food festivals.

Now, let’s take a look at the menu. You’ll find some beverages here, including a few different beers, as well as some slushies, a hot dog, soft-serve ice cream, and an ice cream float. The Tangerine Ice Cream and Ice Cream Float are both special items for the ongoing EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival.

Let’s take a look at that Ice Cream Float, though; it’s made with Tangerine Soft-Serve Ice Cream and Cream Soda.

The soda used in the float is Barq’s Red Creme Soda (yes, that’s how Barq’s spells “creme”). Now, Barq’s Red Creme Soda isn’t a soda you see very often in Disney World (Barq’s even brags that it has that “hard to get quality”). Well, we just learned that you can order the soda WITHOUT the soft-serve. That means you can get a cup of JUST the soda. We got a cup for the same price as a regular cup of soda from this location.

If you’re hoping to grab a cup of rare soda in Disney World, all you have to do is go to Refreshment Outpost and ask for a cup of the creme soda used in the ice cream float. Note that this soda may ONLY be available during the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival since that Ice Cream Float is a festival food item, so if you want to try it, do so before the festival ends on July 5th.
