Park Pass Reservations have been a heated topic in Disney World for quite some time.
Implemented as a way to manage capacity in the parks following the pandemic closures of 2020, this system hasn’t been everyone’s cup of tea, to say the least. It has even inspired a lawsuit among Annual Passholders who were dismayed at the restrictions. But now, we have some breaking news about the future of this system that will make select guests’ trips to the parks a little easier.
Starting in 2024, Disney will introduce “Good to Go” days for Annual Passholders and Cast Members. On these days, these visitors will be able to enter the parks without a Park Pass Reservation.
Annual Passholders and Cast Members will be able to find these scheduled days in their respective calendars on Disney’s website, similar to how Blockout days are currently shown. Disney shared that these dates will be available on a rolling basis, however, so you won’t be able to see the whole year right away.
These Good to Go dates will replace the current Bonus Days — days in which Passholders can make a reservation without it counting against their reservation limit. Keep in mind, however, that Blockout days still apply.
This change follows another relaxing of Park Pass Reservations rules that arrived last month, which allows Passholders to enter the parks without a reservation after 2PM, except for Saturdays and Sundays in Magic Kingdom.
With this and past updates, Disney is working on improving and simplifying the guest experience. By relaxing the rules on Park Pass Reservations, Annual Passholders and Cast Members will have the chance to reintroduce some spontaneity to their visits.
We’ll keep an eye out for any new updates, so stay tuned to DFB for more!

I’m confused. As a DVC member and annual pass holder, since I am reserving my hotel 11 months out, will I be able to choose what park I want on each day or not?
Karen says
This is encouraging…but Disney did not account for annual pass holders staying on property. It doesn’t make sense…that guests who are staying off property and have date based tickets don’t need a park reservation but annual pass holders staying at Disney resorts need park reservations during their stay.
No spontaneity for annual pass holders staying on site.
I hope Disney can come up with a solution for these guests.

Gee, isn’t that nice for Disney World? What about Disneyland/California Adventure? Aren’t they also part of Disney’s parks system? Sure, we only have two parks, not four, but why should that matter? We weren’t offered the ‘no reservation required after 2:00 pm’ deal either. This doesn’t seem fair.

Nope, this is a slap in the face to passholders. Disney is showing favoritism now by catering to all ticket holders but sticking it to passholders with the stupid reservation system. No other resort or parks in the country do this. The good to go days is a joke. Were done as soon as our passes expire, which is clearly what Disney wants here. All of this is too complicated and a giant headache, not worth it. Can go to Seaworld down the road and have an absolute beautiful day with none of this mess.

I’m curious if annual pass holders with a hotel reservation will have to make park reservations. We will be traveling with a mixed group in 2024 (some with date-based tickets and some annual passes). I’m hoping those with reservations will be exempt from reservations!

Hi Beth! It’s my understanding that it’s only for date-based tickets so with annual passes not being date-based, reservations will still have to be made for those. My advice would be to get a game plan together and decide which parks you’ll be in each day and just have the pass holders go ahead and make their reservations for those days just to be on the safe side. If they announce that pass holders with resort reservations won’t have to make park pass reservations we will definitely post an update.

It’s a start hoping it will be around for sometime!
Being able to go to the parks on our free personal life days is a pleasure. For years when we worked we could only go on weekends now that we are retired we enjoy going to the park during the week at our convenience. Thanks for a great offer to Annual passholders
Amy says
So, on “Good To Go” days, will we be able to park-hop before 2pm? Will there be multiple parks with the same G2G days or just one?
Marty says
I have but one question : what is the reason Disney is still enforcing the Park Pass Reservations system at all? I’ve never heard a justification and I don’t know why no one is pressing them for an explanation.
