The Walt Disney Company is going BIG for its 100th Anniversary celebration.

There have been these AMAZING merchandise collections marking all the decades the company has been in business. Then there’s that GORGEOUS Cinderella Carriage Popcorn Bucket. Not to mention several fun celebratory Loungefly bags. However, we’ve just spotted what could be the ULTIMATE Disney100 souvenirs in Disney World.
There are two NEW Disney100 Souvenir Cups in Disney World. Now, we’ve seen these sipper cups previously in Disneyland, but this is the first time we’ve spotted them on the East Coast! There’s a Disney100 Mickey Mouse Sipper Cup for $33.99…

We found these sipper cups at Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom. We were also told they’re at Big Top Treats. They come with a frozen beverage, which would be a Goofy’s Glacier drink (a.k.a… a slushy). Being that it’s getting pretty warm now in Florida, what a fun way to cool off and get an awesome 100th Anniversary souvenir, right?

I just can no longer justify spending $35 for a sipper cup. I LOVE Disney and I am one of the often millined adult Disney fans. My husband and I are season pass holders (year 7) and go at least twice a month. We are both close to retirement and have had serious talks about how we are going to maintain our current lifestyle. So it looks like we are saying bye bye to expensive souvenirs. It appears that as Disney executives continue to give lip-service to ‘understanding’ the need for better value they continue to raise the prices, create ‘buy it now’ shortages to cause a buying frenzy. This leads to a misconception that EVERYONE is buying the product at whatever price they want to sell it for. We will continue to visit Disney, as a lot of my bucket list revolves around The Happiest Place On Earth’. But we will no longer pay $35 for a sipper cup.
