When the sun goes down and the signs around Main Street, U.S.A. light up, the Magic Kingdom transforms as guests prepare for the Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular. The show is extremely popular, so if you plan to watch it on Main Street, be prepared to stand in a huge crowd.
Speaking of crowds, there’s a MAJOR holiday coming soon — and a special fireworks show — that will likely bring LOTS of people to the Magic Kingdom. Let’s talk about it!
On July 3rd and July 4th, 2023, guests will be treated to a special fireworks show. The Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky show will temporarily replace Happily Ever After for the Fourth of July holiday. The show will begin at 9:20PM exclusively in the Magic Kingdom.
During this time, guests will have a rare opportunity to see a unique fireworks show complete with patriotic tunes and plenty of red, white, and blue fireworks. The show will only stick around for two days, so you don’t have much time to check it out!
We’ve had the chance to experience this show in the past, and in our experience, the park can get pretty crowded. If you would prefer to avoid the crowds, we recommend viewing the fireworks from a quieter section of the Magic Kingdom, like Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, or Adventureland! (Just make sure that there aren’t any trees or buildings obstructing your view of the sky!)
We can’t wait for this FUN fireworks show to return to Disney World! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
