Disney World is no stranger to stellar entertainment.
From fireworks shows and water-based spectaculars to live performances and more, chances are you’ll never be bored when you’re in Disney World (or at least, we’d certainly hope not)! But, if you’re heading to Hollywood Studios this summer, you might be a little disappointed…
Disney Movie Magic is a nightly show at Hollywood Studios that takes place just after the park gets dark. Projections are displayed on the outside of the Chinese Theater that celebrate a hundred years of Disney Movie Magic — get it?
But, we happened to notice something strange on the Disney World website. It looks like there are no Disney Movie Magic shows scheduled for the foreseeable future. The calendar shows the next 60 days, and from what we’ve seen, no showtimes are listed well into August.
Oddly enough, it does appear that Disney Movie Magic will still be shown during After Hours events at Hollywood Studios — but if you haven’t already purchased your ticket for that, you’re out of luck as they’ve been sold out for a bit.
We’re not too sure why the show has suddenly gone missing, but it does look like the Wonderful World of Animation show that usually follows Disney Movie Magic will be unavailable throughout July and the beginning of August as well. We’ll be on the hunt for more news about these shows and when they might return, so be sure to stay tuned.

PLEASE put dates on your articles – preferably at the top, right below or above the title. Because of the shot of the schedule, this seems to be current, but sometimes it can be very hard to tell. Is there something I am not seeing? With how rapidly things change, especially since COVID, it does someone no good to read outdated info.

Hi Cathy, I will certainly pass along your suggestion, however, the dates of the articles are in the URL. For example, this post: https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2023/06/13/something-strange-is-happening-in-disneys-hollywood-studios/ was published on 2023/06/13 so it’s only two days old.
Sue says
Yes, the dates show up in the URL on a computer, but they don’t on a phone.

If you click on the search bar at the top, it will change where it says “allears.net” on your phone to the URL and then you can see the date. 🙂
