If you are part of the “Hollywood Studios has the best holiday decorations” camp, we’ve got some news that will MAKE YOUR DAY.
While Disney’s Animal Kingdom park celebrates the holiday season with its beautiful Merry Menagerie and EPCOT celebrates with its annual Festival of the Holidays event, Magic Kingdom gets the big, important Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party that is basically the STAR of Disney’s holiday lineup. But now, a NEW holiday event might just come along and knock old Magic Kingdom off its pedestal.
When it comes to big announcements, Disney is no stranger to sneaky suggestions and tiny hints. The latest clues had us wondering if a NEW holiday event could be coming to Disney World. Well, lo and behold, Disney revealed that a brand new holiday event is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Say hello to Disney’s newest holiday event! Disney Jollywood Nights is a new, separately ticketed event that will take place from 8:30PM to 12:30AM on ten select nights from November 11th through December 20th, 2023. We’ve got LOTS more details on Jollywood Nights here!
As part of the event, guests can enjoy the “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” nighttime spectacular, enjoy exclusive treats, meet characters, and more!
Throughout the park, guests will be able to experience unique music and entertainment inspired by different genres. For example, over at Commissary Lane, guests can explore a lively Latin Street Fair, while Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will host a live holiday special over at Theater of the Stars with some other Disney friends. Disney also teased a special sing-along at Hyperion Theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Meanwhile, look out for two limited-capacity entertainment experiences happening during the event:
- The Hollywood Brown Derby will transform into a jazz lounge
- The Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard will host an “other-worldly soiree”
Stay tuned for more information on these limited-capacity experiences!
No holiday event is complete without a little nighttime show, so be sure to check out the “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” nighttime spectacular. The show features holiday music, fireworks, special effects, and projections.
You can also meet the following characters during the event:
- Mickey Mouse — Animation Courtyard
- Minnie Mouse (and the rest of the iconic gang) — Animation Courtyard
- Powerline Max — Echo Lake
- Phineas and Ferb — Echo Lake
- Edna Mode and one of her super friends — Pixar Place
To commemorate the event, look out for special holiday-themed Magic Shots and two new Disney PhotoPass experiences. Your ticket comes with complimentary digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos from the event.
You will also have access to select rides during the event, including, but not limited to:
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Rock N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (Star Wars: Rise of Resistance will use a virtual queue during Disney Jollywood Nights)
Finally, we can’t forget about the FOOD! Look out for snacks like Spicy Korean Chicken on a Mini Funnel Cake, a Christmas Tree Cookie Stack inspired by the iconic Echo Lake Christmas Tree, and specialty cocktails and holiday beverages.
Keep in mind that Disney Jollywood Nights is a limited-capacity holiday event. Guests staying at select Disney World hotels, Swan and Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green can buy tickets starting June 29th. Normally, I’m all for after hours events. I think this is a bit of a disappointment for people who often visit WDW during the holidays & have become use to seeing Jingle Bam at DHS. Im not sure that show is worth paying up to $180 for a holiday “party”. That being said the Christmas party tickets I bought last November was the best $360 I ever Spent at Disney!

Why are they running this every other week. Two nights one week and nothing the next
Linda says
Does this mean that they will not have the projection show on the TOT on non-party nights for the guests that don’t want to pay extra for another “ticketed event”?
Trevor says
Cool Phineas and Ferb are coming back. Now if we can Get Perry too.
