If you’re hoping to head to Disney World for the holiday season and attend one of the annual Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties, you’ll probably want to pay attention!
As part of Disney’s Halfway to the Holidays celebration, they’ve shared tons of details regarding the upcoming Christmas season! We’ve seen merchandise, gotten hints about the holiday parties, and there are even treats that are temporarily available in the parks even though it’s only June. Today, Disney shared with us some more details regarding the holiday parties! Let’s talk about it!
From November 9th, 2023 to December 22nd, 2023, guests can attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom. That’s right, folks, Disney confirmed it will be RETURNING. Tickets will go on sale beginning July 6th to the general public, but those who already have reservations at select Disney World hotels can begin purchasing tickets as early as June 29th on Disney’s website.
As far as pricing goes, tickets will range from $159 to $199 per person, with events on the following dates:
- November: 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 21, 22, 26, 28, 30
- December: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22
Disney typically releases more specific prices for each date closer to the time that tickets go on sale. Generally speaking, weekend tickets tend to be a bit more expensive as well as tickets for dates that are closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas.
If you’re unfamiliar with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, it’s a specially-ticketed event that allows guests to enter Disney World’s Magic Kingdom after typical park hours to enjoy specially-themed parades, fireworks, treats, and even Magic Kingdom’s rides and attractions –with little to no wait times.

Nope- way too expensive! The party prices go up every year but what you get for the money remains the same. AP’s went WAY UP to $1399 p/p and then paying for a Christmas party on top of that? No thank you to both. Parks, food and Genie prices no longer make Disney an affordable vacation destination.

I went to the Christmas Party about 5 years ago and it was a mob scene. I was so disappointed and vowed never to go again. However, I considered adding it to our trip in November so my husband could see the parade – my favorite part of the Christmas Party. I looked at ticket prices for the parks and the difference between a three day and four day ticket is about $80, so I figured that if I could get a party ticket in the $129 range, I would splurge and count that as our 4th park day. But I just can’t justify spending $159 each, which would be a total additional $160 to spend for that 4th park day. I can’t help it, but I look at the $160 as paying for Genie Plus and Lightning Lanes now. Or for a very nice dinner. I know my hubby and he would say no parade is worth $160!
