Disney’s Hollywood Studios just got a little bit sweeter!
We’ve been counting down to the release of Pixar’s new movie Elemental for weeks now and spotting all kinds of movie merch like ears of fire in the parks, and now we’ve got a couple of new treats to try out, and they’re both themed to the main characters of the film.
Disney Pixar’s latest animated film Elemental has finally been released in theaters and now we’ve got some sweet treats to celebrate its opening day! If you find yourself in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and are anxious to try these beautifully themed floats, you can grab them both at Epic Eats right beside the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular attraction.
Disney announced these new treats very recently, and we asked you which of them YOU would want to try. There’s Ember’s Fiery Float (DOLE whip mango with Chamoy-mango purée, chili lime seasoning, and red bubble sugar) and Wade’s Cool Blue Float (vanilla soft serve, Sprite, blueberry boba pearls, Cotton Candy flavoring, topped with a meringue wave). Overwhelmingly, you chose Wade’s Cool Blue Float! But is that REALLY the better of the two options? You know us — we just had to try both and find out.
Before we get to the reviews, can we have a little “Instagram vs. reality” moment? Here’s the picture we got from Disney of the new treats…
…and here’s what the treats looked like when we got them. 😂
OK, OK we totally can’t blame Disney for this — It’s over 90 degrees in Hollywood Studios right now and these poor treats didn’t stand a chance in that heat. But seriously we can’t stop laughing about the difference.
Now, let’s see how your Disney snack instincts measure up!
First up, we grabbed Ember’s Firey Float!
Not so fast! There’s also Ember’s Fiery Float! 🔥
It’s made with DOLE Whip Mango with chamoy-mango purée, chili-lime seasoning, and red bubble sugar.

Just a reminder on those ingredients — it’s made of DOLE whip mango with Chamoy-mango purée, chili lime seasoning, and a red bubble sugar garnish for the flame. This one cost $6.49. Those are some powerful flavors!
We loved the tropical flavors in this one! The mango dole whip was super refreshing on such a hot day. Interestingly though, there was no pineapple juice listed in the ingredients sign, but we confirmed that there was actually pineapple juice in the beverage. The flavors of mango and pineapple worked great together. Although we only tasted a hint of chili lime seasoning, it added a nice bit of tanginess to the float.
A word of caution to this treat though, this melted FAST. The toppings didn’t add much to the dessert, but that might be because, by the time we tried it, it was all melted together. If you take a bite immediately those flavors might be more pronounced.
Then it was time to cool off with Wade’s Cool Blue Float!
To celebrate the release of Disney’s Elemental, you can find Wade’s Cool Blue Float in Hollywood Studios!
It’s made with vanilla soft-serve, Sprite, blueberry boba pearls, flavors of cotton candy, and a meringue wave.

A quick recap on the ingredients for this one: vanilla soft serve, Sprite, blueberry boba pearls, Cotton Candy flavoring, and a meringue wave topping. This one also cost $6.49 (it was showing $8 as the price on the online menu, but the sign at the kiosk said $6.49 and we were only charged $6.49). Overall, these sound like more crowd-pleasing flavors than the Ember float.
The flavors on this one also went well together! The vanilla and blueberry were a good combo. The cotton candy was a very mild flavor, but a fun addition. We loved the blueberry boba! They tasted REALLY heavily of blueberry, which we liked, and added a fun popping texture.
This one also melted super FAST. If you don’t eat it immediately, you’re basically drinking blue milk — not the Star Wars kind. Also, if you’re not a fan of boba, you might not like this treat — although you can probably ask for it without them. It’s also maybe a little boring for some people. It’s mostly vanilla ice cream with a few touches (aside from the boba).
We weren’t huge fans of the merengue topping and didn’t really feel like it added anything significant to the treat overall. It had a weird yet dry and chewy texture that didn’t really appeal to us. You’ll want to watch where you’re holding this one because it could dye your fingers blue!
So which treat is BETTER?? If you’re really into tropical mango and pineapple-type flavors we think you should give Ember’s Firey Float a try. On the flip side, if you’re totally not down for some pineapple and mango we suggest you admire Ember’s treat from afar because those flavors are very prominent in the treat themed after her character.
If you’re looking for a treat with more traditional flavors or you’ve got some picky eaters in your group, then Wade’s float is likely the best option for you! So it sounds like your instincts were pretty good after all — Wade’s seems like it’s going to be more popular overall, but Ember’s float is definitely interesting and still delicious.
Overall these are fun new treats to help you beat the heat of summer and celebrate the opening of Disney Pixar’s Elemental which is out now in theaters. If these don’t sound like the treats you’re searching for, then feel free to browse our list of the BEST Disney snacks around the parks!
