If you’ve flown to Disney World, you’ve probably flown into Orlando International Airport.
As the closest airport to Disney World, it’s usually everyone’s first choice, and there are a lot of non-stop flights to choose from to get there. Not to mention, you can get transportation to Disney World pretty easily from the airport, and it’s convenient being able to book an appointment to go through a short security line when you leave Orlando. Well, Disney World fans aren’t the only folks recognizing Orlando International Airport for its excellence.
Orlando International Airport has been nominated for the 2023 North America’s Leading Airport Award by the World Travel Awards. That’s kind of a big deal, right?

However, it’s up against some pretty stiff competition, including JFK in New York, LAX in Los Angeles, and O’Hare in Chicago. But WE know Orlando International Airport is #1, right? Well, you can support the Orlando Airport by voting in the World Travel Awards here. Let everyone know that MCO is the best!
If you’re flying to Disney World soon, be sure to have your ground transportation all figured out. You have a few choices: a rideshare service, renting a car, or booking a shared shuttle service like Mears Connect or the Sunshine Flyer. Remember that once you GET to Disney World, you can use Disney’s FREE transportation to get around the resort.
