Sometimes the very last thing you tend to think about while winding your day down in the Disney parks creeps up on you when it’s too late.
You’ve tackled a super long day in the parks and have bested Genie+ to ride all your favorite rides and seen the fireworks that night. In order to fit everything into your plans, you had to eat dinner a bit earlier than normal but now that you’re back in the room, the kids are bathed, and you’re getting ready to settle in for the night when you hear a voice saying… “I’m hungry.”
Oh no! It’s too late to order food from the hotel’s quick-service restaurant. Or maybe that just doesn’t sound appealing, and you’re looking for something from outside the Disney bubble (yes, we know that sometimes the ONLY thing that will do for kids on vacation are those familiar chickie nuggies). What do you do when you’re ready for some delivered food? Don’t worry, we’ve rounded up a great list of potential places that will deliver to the Disney World hotels!
All the recommendations we’re providing here are currently available for delivery (based on our check to deliver food items to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort through one of a few delivery services). Let’s dive into the possibilities!
1 — McDonald’s
Technically you’re not going “outside” of Disney World for this one, but McDonald’s around the world is typically a familiar bet! You can have everything from burgers to chicken nuggets and french fries delivered to you! This is also a great option to keep in mind if you’ve got picky kids that aren’t satisfied with adventurous food options.
You can find McDonald’s delivery menu on their website and app to learn more and order delivery from the Lake Buena Vista location (1596 W Buena Vista Dr, LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL 32830). You’ll want to keep in mind that this location is not open 24/7 like other locations may be. Prices range from around $3 for individual items and up to $13+ for combo meal options.
2 — Taco Bell
The originators of the 4th meal are here to keep you going! Taco Bell is ready to offer up bowls, wraps, and other familiar Mexican-style fast food favorites. They’ve got combo meals, shareable taco options, and even individual a la carte menu offerings, just don’t forget to order your sauces!
You can browse Taco Bell delivery options on their website and mobile app to learn more and order through third parties to deliver to you from their Kissimmee location (4951 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746). They typically tend to stay open much later than other fast food places and are a safe bet for curbing those late-night cravings. Prices here will range around $3 – $11+ depending on what you’re ordering.
3 — KFC
Sometimes you just can’t go wrong with a great option to stay budget-friendly and KFC knows how to do this well. They’ve got great individual meals and bucket family-style options that make ordering for the whole family a breeze, even late at night. Their specialty is fried chicken with sides and you can even repackage the meal back up when you’re done in their convenient containers.
You can browse KFC delivery options on their website to learn more and order through third parties to deliver to you from their Apopka Vineland location (12195 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32836). This location does like to close a bit earlier so this may be one you want to look to schedule ahead. Prices here will range from $7.50 for sides up to $60 for family bucket meals.
4 — Steak ‘n Shake
If you’re craving a double steakburger and fresh fries this is your spot! Steak ‘n Shake is well known for its classic theming and value menu options…and of course incredible milkshake flavors.
To take a look at what Steak ‘n Shake can have delivered to you, check out their website or a third-party delivery app like GrubHub or Uber Eats. This location is also located off of Apopka Vineland very close to I-4 (12163 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32836). This is one we wouldn’t recommend you get in a rush for though, because they’re known to take their time preparing meals, even just individual options. Their most popular offerings here range from $4 to $13.
5 — BurgerFi
If you’re looking for another fresh burger option you might be interested in Burger Fi. This is one that is local to Orlando, and several of our team members rave about it. They have everything from kid’s meals to burgers, onion rings, and even custard.
Most of the prices offered through third-party delivery sites for the BurgerFi menu range from $6 to $11 and may be subject to special offers on occasion like buy one get one free menu items. The nearest location to Disney World is on Palm Parkway (7730 Palm Parkway, #110, Orlando, FL 32836), and they’re open until 9pm usually.
6 — Portillo’s Hot Dogs
If you’re hungry for something closer to home or looking to try out a newer offering in the area, Portillo’s Hot Dogs makes a great fit. With menu offerings like hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, salads, and pieces of cake there really is something for everyone here.
Prices here will hover around $5+ for a side of soup or chili and up to $12+ for a combo meal with a drink, entree or main offering, and side item. They’re going to be a bit further away from Disney World down Palm Parkway but still relatively close (7715 Palm Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32836). You can check out their delivery options online through their website or third-party delivery service.
7 — Crumbl Cookies
Looking to celebrate something special or just have an itch that only something sweet can scratch? Crumbl Cookies are there to help. This location is closed Sunday and Monday with later hours as the week turns into the weekend. They’re known for delicious cookies, and while the chain is growing rapidly, they may not be in your area yet — so they could be a new treat for your family.
Their 4 pack of cookies starts at $17.50 and a party box could cost you up to $46, but based on the reviews left we didn’t hear of many empty bellies. This location is set for delivery to Disney World from their Vineland store (11561 Regency Village Dr, Orlando, FL 32821).
Depending on your mood, taste, and what time it is you could have dozens of other possibilities!
That’s just a quick look at a few of the fast food places to order from while at Disney World. We’ve got a few rules to caution you on first:
- Before ordering, triple-check that the restaurant/store can deliver to your location.
- Be sure to check on those prices and menu offerings as things can change.
- Check to see if there’s a particular delivery service/app that is more economical in terms of delivery fees. When we checked, GrubHub had the highest delivery fees ranging between $3.99-$5.99 and typically expected 30-minute delivery times, Doordash hung around 20 minutes with delivery fees ranging from $0-$2.99, and the shortest and cheapest delivery fees recorded by Uber Eats at 15 minutes and delivery fees ranging from $0.49-$2.49.
- Also, keep in mind that these delivery services can’t deliver all the way to your room, so be prepared to walk to the lobby/front of the resort to pick up your food!
