Multiple different areas of Disney World are under construction right now.
There are tons of construction walls still up in EPCOT, mysterious construction began recently in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney hotels are not spared from the TLC. In fact, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is getting a pretty major makeover, and a new aspect of construction has just begun.
When you walk into the lobby of Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you’ll notice that you can’t see much when you look up.
That’s because construction has just begun inside the lobby of the resort, specifically on the second level.
There are tarps to cover up the construction zone…
…and the stairs are blocked off by signs and curtains.
There are still a few ways you can get up to the second level if need be there, but many areas are blocked off. If you’re concerned about getting somewhere, we suggest asking a Cast Member for the best way to get to your destination that won’t disturb the refurbishment.
Don’t forget to check out what the new rooms look like over at the Beach Club Resort — we’ve done a whole tour to give you the full experience.

The Beach Club has always been our family’s favorite since they first opened 30 something years ago however the past few times we stayed there it just wasn’t good. Check in was a disaster- the pool situation in the summertime is a horrible experience IF you want to get a table with chairs and umbrella- pool opened at 10:00 last summer? With guests lined up as early as 7:30 to get into the pool? Then when opened people ran, jumped over shrubs and grabbed all the tables umbrellas and saved for guests that were not in the line . We have witnessed this many times- they ruined Beaches and Cream- no longer a fun experience- now just overpriced hamburgers without the fun. The lobby was redone many years ago taking the whole beach colors away and it became boring. Cape May Cafe still kept the beach color scheme- hope they bring it back to the lobby. And manage the pool area and front desk better and make it a magical place to stay again.
Now we love The Wilderness Lodge if we want to be close to Magic Kingdom and a quiet stay on the lake. Also love Animal Kingdom lodge
