From one day to the next, Disney World is changing.
We’ve recently seen quite a few updates come to Disney Springs, especially when it comes to retail stores moving or closing altogether. But, over near EPCOT, another store appears to have closed — for good.
Terrible news, friends. Accents, a retail store at The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, has permanently closed. This shop was home to bits and baubles like Florida and beach-inspired goods, not to mention the occasional scented candle.
We spoke with a Front Desk Cast Member at the hotel who confirmed the closure. Not only that, but they shared that at this time, Disney doesn’t really have any plans for a replacement. Another Cast Member indicated that Disney and Marriott were looking for something to take its place — but who knows how long that might take.
Before Accents closed, it was open pretty irregularly, and Cast Members shared that the store had an unreliable schedule for quite a while.
As of now, we haven’t seen any announcements from Disney or Marriott about what could potentially be put here, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for any updates. For the latest Disney World news and more, be sure to stay tuned to DFB!
