EPCOT is ready to celebrate this 4th of July with a BOOM!
Lots of changes are coming to Disney World in July and some of those changes have to do with Independence Day. We’ve learned that a limited-time fireworks experience is returning to EPCOT! In addition to the 4th of July fireworks that will be offered in Magic Kingdom, EPCOT will be the only other park to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks.
EPCOT has recently been performing EPCOT Forever as its nightly fireworks show; however, for a limited time, that won’t be the only fireworks you can see in EPCOT. “The Heartbeat of Freedom” will be returning this Fourth of July!
“Heartbeat of Freedom” will be the finale of the EPCOT Forever show on July 4th. EPCOT Forever takes place at 9PM.
This show will transform the World Showcase lagoon into a dazzling display of fireworks, set to accompanying orchestral soundtracks that celebrate the independence of America. If you’re looking for a great place to view the fireworks, we recommend grabbing your viewing spot around any of the countries in the World Showcase! There are so many great viewing spots from wherever you choose to watch from around the lagoon.
On a recent trip through the World Showcase, we spotted some construction happening in the American Adventure pavilion. A Cast Member told us that it was part of the preparations happening to celebrate the Fourth of July!
This news comes in addition to the exclusive fireworks that will take place at Magic Kingdom on the 4th of July, which are named “Celebrate America! A Fourth Of July Concert In The Sky.” Those fireworks can also be seen from near and far whether you’re inside the Magic Kingdom or around one of the surrounding monorail resorts. The best views, however, will be inside the park in the Hub or on Main Street, U.S.A.
The Magic Kingdom Fourth of July fireworks show takes place on July 3rd and 4th at 9:20PM.
This addition to the nightly fireworks at EPCOT won’t be the only way to celebrate in the park! Throughout the day you can enjoy the lovely sounds of the vocal group, Voices of Liberty, as they perform inside the rotunda of The American Adventure. You can also grab some classic American cuisine at Regal Eagle Smokehouse in the same pavilion!
Disney also announced that “some of your favorite Disney pals will don their ‘Spirit of ’76’ attire and meet with guests throughout the day, also at The American Adventure.”
We’ll be keeping watch for more announcements for the 4th of July festivities as they come, so for the latest information on Disney’s celebrations stay tuned with us at Disney Food Blog!

So want to go do this! Now visions of claiming a spot 4 hours early, only to have some rude boob and his family come stand right in front of us with their kids on their shoulders has invaded my head.
PSA: If you see someone in a prime fireworks location, DON’T go stand right in front of them.
