If you’re wanting to plan a Disney World trip, you may be wondering “When is the best time to visit Disney World?”
Well, that answer totally depends on YOU. Do you want to avoid crowds at all costs? Don’t visit during summer or spring break. Do you want to be in the crowds on the opening day of a major attraction like Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana? Prepare for busy parks. If you are someone who is seeking lower crowds and wait times on a Disney World trip, you may want to wait.
We’re still near the start of summer, but Disney World’s wait times indicate that the crowds are picking up. There are many high wait times and they just keep increasing.
If you want to skip the lines, you can purchase Genie+ on the day of your visit. This will allow you to book Lightning Lanes for certain attractions where you’ll have an expedited wait time.
We do have to warn you, though — on June 27th, pricing for Genie+ will change. The price will vary by park and will have a single park option and a multiple park option. We’ll be testing out the new system, so stay tuned for more.
Genie+ can add up really quickly, especially if you are traveling with a group — be sure to include it in that initial budget if you think you’re going to need it! To help you decide, here are the average wait times from the past week.
Magic Kingdom
Starting in Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time of 82 minutes. Last week the average wait time was 77 minutes, so the time has increased this week.
