We know that the last thing you want to struggle with when you’re at the parks are things like crowds and long wait times! With that in mind, we uncovered a little secret that can really save you some time on getting into the park.
We uncovered a hidden gem that can significantly speed up your entrance into the park! Imagine bypassing long queues and starting your magical adventure ahead of the crowd. Here’s the question for you? Do you know about the “Secret Stairs” at Magic Kingdom?!

Here’s the inside scoop: when you hop aboard the monorail from the Ticket and Transportation Center to reach Magic Kingdom, make sure you find yourself in the right-side monorail queue.

Walk all the way to the end, specifically gate 12. As the monorail arrives, aim to be the last one to board, positioning yourself closest to the door.

Now, here comes the exciting part! When the doors open upon arrival at Magic Kingdom, take a sharp left and swiftly descend the “hidden stairs.” Trust me, being the first one down those stairs will give you a remarkable head start!
Hop out quickly!

The secret stairs are not much of a secret anymore. I quite using them I think just before Covid in Dec 2019 when some cast members yelled at guest not to use these stairs. I have seen this happen twice in about 15 years but it did happen. Last trips in Dec 2022 and May 2023 people used the secret stairs and cast members did not say a word. So it should be good to go

Agree, a picture of the stairs would be great as I can’t visualize where to go. I’m going in September and would like to use them🤔.
Sorry I do not have a picture. When you go down the ramp off the monorail the usual way about where you get out from under the roof there is a gate on the L side where the stairs come out. They are just at the end of the unloading/loading area at the back of the mononrail/end towards the Contemporary Hotel out in the open. One would think they are for workers/cast members but evidently anyone can use them. You just open the gate and walk down. There seems to always be a few using them the last several times we went. If I was on the end of the monorail I would probably try them again.
IF YOU ARE GOING IN SEPT IT SHOULD NOT BE CROWDED. I tried to find a picture for you all but I do not see a way to post it on here. The DFB guys will have to do it. Search Disney World Magic Kingdom monorail station images and you may find one. The stairs would be the ones on the R looking back up the ramp as the L appears to be for cast members on the Resort line. They are easy to find if you follow the original post on how to use them. Have a magical time!
Are we talking about the exit stairs? If I’m not mistaken, those are officially an emergency exit only.
