It’s almost time for DFB’s favorite part of the year…EPCOT Food and Wine Festival season!

The 2023 Festival is set to debut on July 27th and while we are still waiting on menus for the food booths, there is a lot to get excited about. Food and Wine booths have already started popping up in EPCOT (yes, BEFORE the end of the Flower and Garden Festival!) and now another sign of Food & Wine is here very early!
We were walking around EPCOT when thought…wait a minute…is that a new popcorn bucket?!
Let’s check out the popcorn stand
As we got closer to the popcorn stand, we saw that our thoughts were true — EPCOT just debuted a new Food and Wine popcorn bucket! A little weird on the timing since Flower and Garden is still going on, but hey, we won’t complain about new Food and Wine stuff in Disney World.
I spy something new…
If you think this popcorn bucket looks familiar, you are not wrong. Disney first debuted a similar bucket at Toontown in Disneyland (that comes with a few snacks instead of popcorn)…

…and then brought that over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios since both parks have Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

But this popcorn bucket in EPCOT is special because it has a Food & Wine lanyard attached…

….and the name of the fest on top of the picnic basket.

The “blanket” in the picnic basket is also blue instead of red.

If you look closely, there are two little ants on the popcorn bucket — one of them is sitting on top of the basket and having a snack!

So they changed the stickers on the Hollywood Studios one that has been out.
This is just lazy. Disney is reusing a bucket mold for a bucket that is Already being sold currently at Hollywood Studios.

Also… Why did they release new Food and Eine merchandise when F&W does not begin for a few weeks?
